how long.......

We have been together 3 and a bit years when we got engaged. By the time we're married, it will be nearly 5 years together.

1st time we were together 2 years then got engaged. engaged for 2 more years then got married. This time we were together for 4 months then got engaged. have now been together 2 years and getting married later this year.

Same as you katie_lou! We had been together 4 years when we got engaged and by the time we are married, we'll have been together 6 years

Interesting stats that I read in the metro the other day... something like the average for those who meet online to get engaged is 18 months, and for those who meet offline is about 4 years!

OH and I did NOT meet online but were together less than 2 years when we got engaged and when we get married in July it will be around 2.5 years. When you know, you know!

We have been engaged since Valentines day 2011 so will have been engaged for over 3 years! But lots of things have got in the way and to have the date we wanted on a Saturday, gotta wait til 2014 anyway!

I fancied H2B all through school but always thought he was out of my league and then I moved away to Cyprus for 2 years and we chatted on the Internet and then when I came back we got together (although we had pretty much fallen for each other through the magic of the Internet ?.

Just over 2 years from meeting to getting engaged. Will be 3 1/2 years by the time we marry.

I was 19 when i first met mr k very shy , never had a "proper boyfriend" he was the total opposite bit of a male tart, really loud kept calling me babe when he spoke to me which i really disliked, i jumped a mile when he put his hand on my backside when he was talking to me, i only gave him my phone number to get rid of him lol x

We were together 3yrs when he popped the question....We've been together 6yrs this coming July and we're getting married next May - 2months before our 7th anniversary!

We were together 3 months when we moved in together (I was also pregnant but unfortunately miscarried, hence the speed of move), 8 months when we got engaged and we'll have been together 15 months when we get married.

We've been together for nine years but knew from very early on that we'd grow old together. We use to watch old couples in cafes and say "that'll be us one day". We always had a plan, house first, then dog, then marriage, then kids. We're on track!!

I got with my OH when I was 17, it will be 7 years to the day this Monday.

We met dancing in January 2008, and I was in the middle of a singe-and-loving-in phase, having plenty of fun flings and not looking for anything at all. He was a teenager anyway (albeit 19) and I was mid-20's, thought he was a show off and had a whole harem of young girls chasing him, but had fun dancing with him.

I was 'flinging' someone else in the January, then another person in the Feb, and went on holiday with another in the March (I'm not a whore, honestly!) but by March we were flirting anyway and starting to meet up to practice dance. After my March-fling, I jokingly said to a friend, "Hmmm, who shall I have for my next fling?" and she suggested H2B. I laughed and said no, based on his age, but she pointed out age doesn't matter for a fling.

So I turned up at his flat after a Burlesque rehearsal, still in 'uniform' (ie corset - his weakness) and that was that ? We got together 17th April 2008, got engaged 29th July 2011, and are getting married 21st July 2012 so we'll have been together 4 years and 3 months when we marry.

We got engaged a year and a month after we got together and will have been together about 2 and a half years when we get married :-) sounds like a whirlwind but I know he's Mr Right and I can't wait to be his Mrs!
