Currently I'm delivering in two weeks from but we waited 9 weeks for our own photos when I got married.

Saying that, I'm so busy in August I'm not doing any editing at all that month so 4-6 week wait is in place for those getting married in August.

A lot will depend on the photographer you've picked. A photographer who has a different Mon-Fri job and shoots at weekends who has a family will normally take a while longer than a full time photographer who only shoots weddings.

As said, it will depend on when your wedding is and who your photographer is.

I think quite a few photographers give a ball park of 6-8 weeks but depending on where, where and when you may have them before then or slightly after.

If you have a photographer in mind you could ask them.

Our contract said 4-6 weeks, but our photographer became ill and it was just over 7 weeks.

We had a preview in the first couple of weeks.

We got the online gallery just a few days after, but we had a very basic package as part of our wedding and there were only about 100 images and not a lot of editing. We chose for our album and extra prints and they took a couple weeks to come. So it really depends on what sort of package you've had.

Yeah, you need to ask your photographer. I think we were told 4-6 or 6-8 weeks, which seems pretty normal. It would probably be quicker for a non-summer wedding.

Our contract says that it can take up to 6 weeks, but we aim to deliver within 4. On the other hand when we were getting married, our photographer (full time pro with around 15 years experience) said it would take 3 months and still delivered 10 days late, so it varies quite a bit Smiley smile I would say typical is anything between 2 to 8 weeks.

All photographers will vary and there is no right or wrong...apart from them honouring the timescale as promised and as laid out in the contract.

Mind you, how many recall the days of film weddings and proofs returned during the reception???

I think this would vary from place to place and dependent on workloads etc. We always aim to get the final photo set presented on the website gallery within 7-10 days after the wedding.
