How many bridesmaids are you having?

Helybel, 24 May, 2013 at 14:03 Posted on Planning 0 30

I haven't asked anybody yet but I'm thinking....

my niece (definite)

OH's goddaughter (definite and same age as my niece)

my sister as MOH (kind of thinking I should have a MOH and someone to look after the kids)

My nephew - will be 4 (possible page boy)

My goddaughter - will be 3 1/2 (possible flower girl)

I'm having a civil ceremony, does this seem like too many people? I'm also thinking of doing the american thing of MOH going first, then little ones, then me and dad.

Any opinions welcome!

I'm having a civil ceremony & have 10 bridesmaids, a flower girl & 2 page boys! You have as many as you want hun, it's your day! 3 plus a flower girl can no way be classed as too many people.

I'm also coming down the aisle last instead of first.

I didn't have any. It was all about ME!!!

Actually, I didn't have any, as I didn't even have any guests, just the witnesses.

My Mum got married Saturday just gone, she had 3, and a page boy. We all walked in before my Mum did.

I had two adult bridesmaids, my sister and my best friend.

For our blessing at home (we got married abroad), I also had H's goddaughter (6) and niece (3).

I am having two - my sisters. They will walk in before me because we come in at the front of the room and once we get in, there won't be room to get past!

I'm having 2 - my two close friends although one of them is already married so does that technically make her a MOH rather than a bridemaid?! We are also having my OH's three year old niece as our flowergirl.

Not too many people, it's your day, you have all the BM's you want! I've got 9 BM's. 2 flower girls, 3 adult and 4 middle age. Tempted to cut the 3 adult though, too much blooming drama :/

I'm just having my sister. Wanted best friend too, but she's pregnant and due in November and both agreed she had much bigger priorities Smiley smile Hoping she'll be my witness though.

I'm having three adults, a flower girl and a page boy. Oh is having bm, 2 ushers and a mini usher. Always thought I'd have four Bms but the fourth one I'm not so close to over the last few years so didn't feel right to ask her just to make the photos more symmetrical! Go with who you really want not who you feel you should have.

My 2 nieces will be BM (they will be 11 and 12)

    That is it.

Also a civil ceremony and they will all walk behind (going ahead annoys me for some unknown reason)

I am getting married in a registry office (this may change because I dont like the decor of my registry office and also I need a bit more room) but I am going to have 4 adult bridesmaids, 3 flower girls (one of whom is my daughter - so prettier dress Smiley smile) and 3 ushers -

I think we are having 5 grooms men not including h2b!!!

so basically half of the people at my wedding will be the bridal party x exactly how I want it Smiley smile

    I'm having 4 bridesmaid... 2 junior bridesmaids.

im thinking to ask my cousin if her little girl who will be nearly 2 can be a flower girl. But will it look bad if I only involve her daughter and not her son?

i already have my 2nephews one will be a ring bearer and the other is carrying a sign that say something along the lines of 'this is your last chance to run'

my junior bridesmaid will enter first, followed by ring bearer, then my bridesmaid, then my nephew with the sign announcing my arrival...

To be honest I wish I had less bridesmaids its a hassle to dress them.

First wedding I had 1 (adult, close friend). This time I am having 6 (my two daughters, my four close friends that got me through what went before now). The first wedding (though civil ceremony) was at a much bigger venue than the church this time around.

Occaisionally I think, it is a lot. BUT, all these people matter so much to me and 'us'. So, why not?

I'm having two adult BMs and one page boy who will be 2 (although this is dependant on whether he wants to walk down the isle on the day!). They'll all walk before me.

Thanks ladies, definitely made me feel happy that I'm making the right decision! I would like them all involved really. I think they'd love it, and I know it'll cost a bit to kit them out but the high street do such lovely dresses and suits for little ones So I'm thinking of starting there Smiley smile
