How much does your cleaner cost?

*Clairejk, 14 November, 2008 at 09:52 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 9

Someone put a fab idea on the present ideas thread where everyone in the family put money into a collection so that their nanna could have a luxury 'item' for a year.

I know it's different around the country but I just need a vague idea.

Thanks x

We're in Hertfordshire and pay £10/hour, for 2 hours a fortnight. It gets the essentials done in our (smallish) three bed house. That's for an individual - agencies around here can be a lot more.

I'm in Berkshire and I pay £8 an hour for 4-5 hours a week (4 bed town house). However I do know that my cleaner charges as much as £10 an hour for other households.

Ours is £45 for as long as it takes every fortnight. We live in a 3 bed house no pets or kids. Local family firm. We used to have Molly Maid who were more expensive and a bit rubbish but it's a franchise company so could well have been just our area.

We pay £50 a week for 5 hours and we have to buy the cleaning products as well. If you go for it try and get a company/cleaner who bring their cleaning stuff with them.
