I'm paying £1750 for ours. That includes all day and up to some of evening, 2 photographers a storybook album and 6 mini storybook albums. We found this one of the cheaper ones for what we wanted in our area.

I'm paying £995 for two photographers who will be with us from preparations in the morning through to cutting of the cake. The package includes a choice of album, photobook or copyright free disc. We may decide to pay a few hundred extra to get the disc and photobook.

The cheapest photographer I've seen was £800 and the most expensive around £2000. I don't even think it's a case of you get what you pay for, more that you pay whatever that particular photographer has decided might be "reasonable".

Our photographer is £1700 and that includes an imagebook album, large print and a pre-wedding shoot. He is with us all day from me getting ready until after the first dance. Plus we get all the photos from the day on disc and we then own the rights to them. This was an important feature for both us. We didn't like the thought of selecting 100 photos for the albums and then not being able to use any of the others. This way we can have as many re-prints etc as want. The chap we're using is just a photographer therefore doesn't rely on re-prints and selling the albums so this is why he passes over the photos with all rights. We met with a few other photographers and the prices ranged from £1500-£2000 x

Much will depend on the type and quality of the album that you get and the quality of the images as to whether its a lot of money or not. (throw good service in to the mix as well)

    Hi there

We're paying about £1800, which includes an engagement shoot, about 10 hours coverage on the day, a graphistudio album, a smaller album, a CD of the photos and right to reproduce, 2 sets of (unmarked) proofs (so we can keep one and send the other copies out to friends/family), and some other larger prints (of our choice). The photographer is paying for his own travel out to Guernsey (where I'm getting married)Band is also doing a free Trash the Dress shoot for me a few days later.

We looked at a huge number of websites and met a few other photographers, many of whom were much cheaper. However, the photos are incredibly important to me and I loved our photographer's style and quality of image. Also, he is genuinely a lovely bloke and we got on really well when we met (and his customer service has been great so far) - which I feel is really important as he's going to be around a lot on the day. All of these factors were what were most important to me (although obviously, I did have a budget).

Good topic! I'm interested to know if there's much difference in the price of our US package versus what's usual for the UK!

We're paying $1,400 for our photographer. That includes 8 hours, 36 prints and a 20 page coffee table style album with 2 pocket versions for our parents. Depending on the exchange rate, it'll end up being between £850 and £1000. Damn you weak Sterling!!

We had an engagement session for $200 a few months ago that we were really happy with and are thinking of doing a TTD shoot 2 days after the wedding in some really cool Vegas spots. Shouldn't cost much extra apart from the fees to hire one of the locations.

Ours is £850, although I think we have been given a discount as the photographer is a friend of a friend. He has done a couple of friends' weddings, and we love his work. Also, we are just getting CDs of the photos to make our own albums. He is covering me getting ready until the start of the evening do.

    Hiya

I got various quotes from £750 to £2,000. We settled on a photographer who charges £750 for the whole day up until 7.30pm (starting with getting ready shots) and he provides us with roughly 800 shots on a cd, for us to print off. He is cheaper than others because he is quite new to wedding photography (he's done 2) a bit of a risk, but we really like his ideas and his photos are fab x

We are not getting an album, just the edited pics on a disc and a letter allowing us to reprint them. He had 3 price options which were based on his time. I think about 5-6 hours is £500.

We paid £400 but that was 'mates rates' - he was there for the whole day/evening. He took over 1000 images in the end!! We have now been given a pile of about 400 to choose an album from...
