How soon did you buy your dress?

I only ordered my dress 6 months before the wedding, a friend who is getting married next Aug however has just ordered hers which seemed early to me, just wondered what the norm was.

    I ordered mine 5 months before the wedding, but I'm unusual. Many brides order much, much earlier than that because of how long dresses take to come through from the designer. I only ordered mine that late because we're getting married so quickly after getting engaged.

    Ordered in September for a May wedding - so 6 months before the wedding like you! But started looking a way before that!

    I was really panicking about finding a dress, it takes me months to find a new top for a night out! So a couple of weeks after we got engaged I went with my mam for a look. Didn't expect to find anything but found the perfect dress so I ordered it. That was 28 months before wedding?. I do not have the power of patience, as you can tell?

    I ordered my dress in August 07 for April 08 (next week wedding!!)...so that's 8 months before for me!

    I was worried that if I bought my dress too early I'd find another one I liked better later...so I held off a couple of months and tried on some others first!?

    Bought mine August 07 for May 09 wedding! I knew it was the dress so me so imo wasn't too early but the hardest bit was knowing what size to order. Now 9 months on I still love the dress so knew I made the right decision.

    Found mine on flea bay a couple of months back.. no date yet but sometime in 2009! So ridiculously early, but at that price i'd have been daft not to.

    Hi,
    I ordered mine March 08 and wedding is June 09! Tbh, I didn't plan on buying it so soon, but it is an exlusive sample and was half price, so had to get it!!!! Just hope it fits me in 15 months time ?

    I ordered my dress at the end og aug 07 for the wedding 08 Aug 08. It came into the shop last Oct! And is sitting there until I need fittings doing.
