How to decide on a time??

Carpe Diem, 18 February, 2014 at 14:03 Posted on Planning 0 5

How did you all decide on a time to have your ceremony?

We want to have a late afternoon vow renewal as we are following it with a BBQ, no sit down meal and then a disco. I don't want any big gaps in the day but obviously don't want it too late as want to make the most of the day! It's all at the same venue so No moving around. This is our sschedule I just don't know how long to allow for each thing to then choose a ceremony time! Was thinking 3 or 4pm maybe?

We're having a late do and our meal is laid back tapas served over a long period and at the same time as entertainment rather than a meal ...

5pm ceremony followed by drinks and pics

6.30 - 8.30 food (and band playing chilled 'Live lounge' type music)

    8.30 speeches

9.00 band pick it up a bit for party

11.30 'midnight' snack of emapanadas and chocolate churros!

    1am finish

Cost! The price differed with the time of the ceremony. Ours isn't the cheapest but not the most expensive either and works out nicely for our needs at 12.30

Our ceremony is at 3pm, followed by drinks/nibbles, meal at 5pm, party starts 8pm. I dont like big long gaps at weddings and want to have a relaxed morning/lunch instead of rushing to get ready.
