haideee, 7 March, 2014 at 16:47 Posted on Planning 0 19

I am in the early stages of planning, but I seem to like lots of colours & I cannot make my mind up!

I would love to hear how you all decided your colours??

i absolutely love coral, & my OH is coming around to the idea,

or maybe even navy blue!

completely opposite, i know!

8 just want my bridesmaids to stand out & I am a big big fan of bright colours like coral!! Smiley smile

Hi Lovely. I'm useless I'm afraid as love colour so much I couldn;t pick just one (or two!), so we're going for vintage country wedding where we can have lots of different colours and patterns and not have to match anything, lol. Your coral sounds lovely though - it would lovely against your ivory/white wedding dress x

Hi - can deffo recommend Pinterest for getting inspiration. You start looking and it will bring up others that follow a similar vein. Massively helpful in some ways - but then you see so many gorgeous things lol.

I originally had red as our colour as i love red roses. But when we picked venue & date i started to doubt my decision on colour. As i felt red is a bit warm for the summer & for a barn. So ive decided today to go for peach, cream & grey, they look great together. Look on pinterest, gave me lots of ideas!

I originally wanted a mink colour but have since changed my mind numerous times and ended up with blue, not sure what shade to call it, maybe sky blue. I knew what colours I didn't want to helped but then I needed to find a colour to suit bridesmaids as they have different skin tones and didn't want either of the them to look washed out etc. We are not having everything to match exactly so chair covers, cravats and dresses all slightly different shades of blue but compliment each other and flowers are creams and pastel pinks.

Do look on Pinterest though you get loads of ideas and can see how colours work together etc.

I took ages to decide but Pinterest was a massive help. Also, someone posted The Perfect Pallette website on here ages ago which was a really nice site to browse around (although it's soooo slow!!) http://www.theperfectpalette.com/2013/06/party-palette-coral-navy-blue.html

I'm having navy and pale pink - I love the contrast and the fact there's a 'girly' colour and a 'manly' colour. The coral & pink photos posted above look really pretty.

Coral is very nice and you can always go for two colour scheme and match with navy blue or midnight blue to make your H2B happy. When I was choosing mine I was browsing internet typing in google: green wedding, blue wedding etc. Finally I found one I like but it took a while... I match my decorations first, then found perfect bridesmaid dresses. Anyway, there is plenty options for colour scheme. Just browse internet.

I think those colours look lovely together Smiley smile

We are having blue, white and yellow (quite a dark yellow). Think 'exploding tardis', old style Batman and R2D2/C3PO Smiley winking

    Hi,

I don't have a colour scheme. My bridesmaids are in Navy but then I have picked other colours that I like for other things. I kept a mood board so I could see how they would all look together.

I love coral though and might have had it if I was getting married in the summer. Don't feel like you have to stick to one or two colours though. At of the colour palette inspiration boards have 4 colours on.
