How to get the required 'lift'

toptotty11177, 16 March, 2013 at 14:10 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi, this is a bit embarrassing but I'm a bit worried about my b**bs on my wedding day! I lost a lot of weight very quickly when I was younger and since then have had very saggy ones.

At the moment, I am rather weighty again and so have 38E bust but when I get back down to my desired weight I should be about a 36C. Anyway, currently strapless bras do not help one bit so I always have to wear bras with straps, wire and scaffolding to get them anywhere near where they should be.

What underwear can I wear on the day that will help me get over this? I'm really worried it will restrict my dress choices

I have to share this with you; it's an american company but I've found an importer which I'll share with you. Go to the Flattering Me website and then pm me if you're interested. It's not a secret just complicated!

As someone who up until recently fitted bras for a living I don't think there is any way you can predict what size you will be when you lose weight, my advice would be to go and get fitted properly- you might find a strapless will fit you better in the correct size. A 36C is not actually that common a size despite what people think.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! ?

Thanks Peaseblosson, I was only suggesting I would be that size as that's what I was before I put weight on.

I'm just really worried that regardless of my size they will not be in the right place!

Have never gone bra-less since I was about 11, so wasnt sure what to do on my wedding day. I had a corset backed dress, which meant it could be tightened in the areas the required it.

Despite being a DD size, I didnt need a bra at all on the day because the boning & corsetry kept everything in place. Even during some vigorous dance moves! I'd wait & see how much weight you loose, & wait till you get your dress before buying a bra. You may too find you dont need a bra at all.

I work in lingerie design and I have heard from a couple of larger busted friends that the strapless bra by wonder bra that's designed to be like two 'hands' holding you up is amazing. It looks quite chunky off but they have both been raving about it and these are two women who work in technical fitting of bras so are extremely picky!

I am 32F and usually have problems with strapless bras. Anyway, bought one for my wedding day but when I went to have dress fittings, discovered that due to the strucutre in my dress I did not need any bra at all (much to my amazement). When I look at wedding photos now, I am still amazed that I don't have a bra on and it is my dress holding up my boobs. So it also depends on your dress and the structure in it.
