How to make the most of a *very* wet wedding day..... ***NOW WITH VIDEO!***

Mrs.K2b, 9 August, 2014 at 09:27 Posted on Planning 0 24

Saw the link to this on Facebook, it's at a venue about 15 minutes away from me - just goes to show that no matter what Mother Nature throws at you, it's most definitely the people that make a wedding! Hope this link works.......

Oh my goodness, they really did have a very wet day didn't they! How lovely to see that they chose to continue with the celebrations though and make the most of what mother nature had thrown at them. As you say, it's the people that make a wedding and i'm sure they all had a memorable day! Hopefully all their hard work didn't go wasted and everyone was able to enjoy the little touches before the rain showed up.

As a tipi bride to be myself, this made my heart sink though ?

Wow, I loved that! Even when it is pouring it was still very beautiful! It just reminds you to keep a sense of humour about your big day. Good thing they had a building to go into and they werent just stuck in a field!

I would be livid at the wasted hire costs of those tipi tents though, thousands down the drain!!

The link to this won't work for me, not sure why. I am keen to see it as I think it will be local to me. OP, are you from Sheffield or nearby? If so, where are you getting married?

Link isn't working for me either so I went to Google and searched for the photographer and the whole site is down, it seems.

I thinks it's gone viral today, so I'm guessing the website has crashed!

Pavone - our reception is in a marquee, so the thought had crossed my mind too!

HBH19 - I live in Barnsley; but we're getting married in my hometown of Nottingham. Are you Yorkshire too?

Video of the wedding now in the OP - so beautiful, brings a tear to the eye! Never wanted a videographer before seeing how that wedding was filmed - may have to look into it now!

What absolute troopers all of them are! Hats off to everyone for keeping their heads. A beautiful wedding despite the inundation, and the video is gorgeous.

Although we're not getting married outside, as ours is a December wedding this has definitely reminded me to have wellies on standby.

They dealt with it so well. It looked like a fantastic wedding and the photographs are stunning. As much as I'd love to think I'd react like that and embrace it, if it came down to it I'd probably cry - a lot.

Their smiles say everything, so lovely!!

So much love for this wedding, I totally welled up watching the film! Loved the way everyone just got stuck in moving everything into the ceremony room, and also the way the bride and groom had a splash about ?

I looked at the pictures yesterday, what a nightmare it was but it didn't spoil the day for them at all, and the main thing was that they got married. Its a beautiful video too
