How to make your own invitations/save the dates

monkeynutter, 14 January, 2013 at 11:58 Posted on Planning 0 7

I have seen a few people saying they are making/made their own...how? Is there somewhere to get templates etc? Anyone recommend where to get nice card from? (cant seem to find any!)

thankyou!

PDA craft are very good. You can order a swatch pack of all the different card types, so you can match exactly to what you want.

I made my own, I got all of the card, embelishments and bits and bobs from ebay, and I came up with a design based on pictures of examples and I got ideas for the wording by searching for examples online. Overall I think it worked out quite well, but I think it would depend on how crafty you are and how formal you would like your invitations. Mine were simple and informal, so it was quite easy and fun to do.

    Thank you

I can be quite crafty and want them to look nice but not too formal.

I did 30 save the date postcards for £12 from Vistaprint. A lovely Hitched member helped me with the final design. We are sending them out at the moment Smiley smile

We did this....brown luggage tags, personalised rubber stamp -took out the string and added some ribbon and stuck on a tiny handmade paper flower -I was very pleased with them, even if I do say so myself!!
