Hydrangea Theme!

Mrs F (to be), 23 August, 2012 at 13:36 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hello,

I'm getting married in spring next year and wondered if any of you b2b's or already married ladies have any thoughts/ideas on hydrangea centrepieces using the large hydrangea heads???

My bridesmaids are in lilac/lavender colour dresses and are having one single large cream hydrangea head as their posy (simple but effective) so I'm keen to keep the flower theme going throughout - I'm having a single lilac hydrangea in my bouquet along with other flowers.

Any ideas/thoughts would be welcome as my mind is boggled having trawled through google!

xx

Um, put some in a vase? Isn't it as simple as that?

One thought, I far prefer hydrangeas in short vases, rather than tall ones. I don't think the flower size lends itself to towering centrepieces.

Two of my friends have had hydrangeas, one pink, one blue. They both had fishbowls with hydrangeas as table centres (They don't knwo each other so didn't copy!)

Both looked lovely. I will see if I can find any pics to flash this evening

    Hi Lannyb27

I absolutely LOVE the "something a bit different" picture! I'm having mirror plates underneath the actual centrepiece and this would look perfect!

    Thank you!

    Hi hazyclaire

I think I'm going to hire fishbowls for 2 of the tables so if you do have any pictures that would be great....there are 8 tables and I'm hoping to do 2 tables with the same centrepieces (if that makes sense)!

I love Hydrangeas and think they're so beautiful, i'm having them in my bouquet with roses and bridesmaids posies (will flash after next week!!)

I really wanted them included in my centrepieces but they are £7.50 a head round where i am and couldn't justify them, but am happy enough having them in my bouquet.
