    ?

She wasn't exactly flat chested in the first place either - could slightly understand if it was a confidence thing cos she had nothing but definitely not when she was already a D cup!!

See - told you money poems were tacky!

    It reads:

We have already got a kettle and toaster.

Crockery, dinner mats and matching coasters.

So, rather than something we have already got,

we would appreciate money for Louise's boob job pot!

    ?

    *B*tch alert*

Judging by the way that dress is creasing in the middle, if it were me I'd have asked for lipo and a tummy tuck!

May be she is looking for a means to fund her next op! Slinks away to pour another saucer of milk for myself.

Ok, so she can't manage to save £4k herself, works part time in a tanning salon and with three kids the best thing she can think of to do with the money is spend it on her boobs!? And her husband agrees!? And her guests think this is a reasonable request?! I could probably understand more if she was really overweight and had crippling confidence issues so wanted lipo, or something but there's no visible change (though maybe to her, it's a big change?) Absolutely bizarre. Each to their own, I suppose.

If the op meant THAT much to her she should have downgraded her wedding!

If i had been a guest at the wedding i would have refused to hand over cash for it, i would have bought a present that was non-returnable

I'd have bought her some chicken fillets and her husband a MUG. Fancy thinking that was an ok thing to ask for.

Sorry if people think this is harsh but her kids must be so embarrassed.

    *dons Super Diplomatic Hat*

As someone with 3 kids, I can kinda identify with her wanting to do something to rescue her body. God knows I'd love the opportunity to undo some of the damage wonders that 3 pregnancies has done to my figure! It's a weird thing to ask for as a wedding present, but if she's happier in herself as a result, I don't hold it against her.

I wouldn't worry about it Mooey - if I looked like that (and I don't have children) I would have no concerns about my tummy!

I'd have thought there were much better uses of their money for plastic surgery than going up from a D to a DD bra, to be honest...

Pardon the detail, but there's more to boobs than just size - particularly post-pregnancy. Firmness (or the lack thereof!) is more a concern for mothers I know. A boob job might have been intended to give her a better shape* or just firm 'em up a bit without drastically increasing the size.

*FWIW, I don't like cosmetic surgery at all and don't believe it's a solution to body image issues. I'm just playing devil's advocate in the case of this woman!

Instead of asking for gits, they asked their 200 guests to contribute towards a new pair of breasts for the bride.

Quite apart from the story, this typo made me laugh!

I think it was cheeky but if her OH was happy and the people giving money then good luck to them. I can totally identify with the ruined boobs and saggy stomach muscles after three kids.

Sorry but that's a really awful thing to say. I'd hate to think that anyone looked at me on my wedding day and thought something so shallow and mean. Besides, sometimes all the exercise in the world isn't enough to get rid of mummy-tummy.
