Sorry to bring this to the boards, but i am hoping someone may be able to help/give me some advice

I have currently lost a bit of weight, but my H seems to have put it on, he has always been big, but he is getting bigger.i still love him and i am still attracted to him, but i am really bothered that something bad is going to happen to him.

Last week, asa treat i got him a tub of ben and jerrys ice cream he sat and ate the tub in one night well half a hour.... i went out for the night Sat night and he had another tub, and the same again he ate it in one sitting.

We have dinner at around 7 ish, when i get in from work. but 8-8.30 he is eating biscuits/chocolate/crisps...

he just seems to eat, eat eat.

We are going away in a few weeks i asked him if he was looking forward to it, and the response i get is i cant be bothered to go, a family wedding in a few weeks and again the samresponse, he cant be bothered to do anythin.

how can i try and help him/ motivate him if he isnt intrested how can i make him

I don't know him well enough to know if he is doing this but when I'm depressed and sinking lower I often comfort eat and "can't be bothered" to do anything. Could he be upset about something in particular or generally depressed? Try and pin him down on specifics, why can't he be bothered? Is he hungry or just eating for the sake of it and try to suggest something to do instead. So when he gets out the icecream suggest that after he has a bowl of it (not the tub!) why don't you play cards *or insert other thing he likes doing or you do together*.

Give him reasons to do stuff (weddings) and not do (eat too much) things and point out the good events that are happening in your lives as things to look forward to.

Oh, and come to the other board it's faster! https://www.hitched.freeforums.org/index.php

I think this question needs a bit of context. When you say big and getting bigger, are you talking was 12 stone now 12.7 or do you mean was 18 now 21? It does make a big difference. It's unlikely that his health would sufer if he's just a bit bigger than he was unless he was already big enough to worry about.
