I cant choose!! Help!

neo_kat26, 16 June, 2013 at 02:10 Posted on Planning 0 23

Right I have been dress shopping. Before I went I was really scared I wouldn't like any dresses.... however.... I know absolutely love three dresses!! Someone people have said that if you like more than one then you haven't found the right dress. But I have tried on a lot of dresses now and I don't really want to try on any more in case I get more confused and more overwhelmed. I have been back today to try the three on again to see if I could decide but I really cant. I would love to wear either of them on my wedding day!

I know no one can decide for me and at some point I am going to have to choose but any advise or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Dress one

Dress Two

Dress Three

They're all lovely but I think if I had to pick I'd go for number 1.

A couple of things to think about that might help you get closer to a decision...

What's the general feel of your wedding going to be and will one of these fit better than the others?

Is there a big price difference? If one is a few hundred pounds less than the others that money could be used for some extra wedding items or fancier honeymoon.

Love dress 2 then 1 then 3, maybe the cost of them may sway you?

All the dresses are pretty similar which, to me, means that you have found the style of the dress that you love. I like any kind of sleeves so would go for 1 or 3. They really are beautiful dresses, I do prefer 1 though, not quite strapless and very elegant.

They're all lovely but number one is definitely my favourite, it's gorgeous. Two would be my next choice, then number three. I wonder if the order in which you've posted them means anything subconciously...

They are all lovely but I am drawn to dress one. Good luck deciding.

Just to be difficult I like number 3 the best! That said they are all lovely dresses and if you really can't decide I'd be tempted to go for the cheapest. Why don't you wait a week and see which one you're still drawn to after that?

I like dress 2 best. It's the fishtail underneath with the sheer overlay that does it for me. Classic shape but with a slight twist

I like number 3 best, then 1 then 2. It's very hard to judge without seeing what you look like in them rather than the model.

I like 1, then 3 and really am not keen on 2.

Hope you get to a decision!

Gosh they are all stunning, if I had to pick one it would probably be number open as I really love the shoulders. Although I really love number three too. You'll have to let us know ha you go with!

    Definitely number 3.

I'm going to go against the grain and say I'm not keen on the shoulder bits on number one, although on a 'real' person it migh look better than on the model.

I would probably go for number 2 but then Im a Pronovias fan through and through!

Without knowing what body shape you are I think it would be difficult to make a choice for you. The wrap around the shoulders is great if you are concscious about your arms but if your big busted it can draw attention to the wrong area. It can also make you look very broad shouldered and as if you are trying to cover something. I have a fair few of this type of thing in the shop for ladies to try when they want to cover their arms but unless you are pear shaped they can make the proportions look wrong.

Try the dresses again with a more obective eye. They are all absolutely stunning and you would probably look incredible in them but do they all suit your shape or does one stand out above the rest.

    Happy shopping! x

I only like number 2... They are all very DIFFERENT dresses! Not a fan of the big skirts and sleeves on 1 and 3.

    I'm for No.1 too...

No.3 - looks like she's standing in an odd pose so the front seems to be lifted up.

It's impossible to tell when we don't know what you're body shape is like, and also, I think your dress reflects your personality to an extent, so definitely can't help with that bit.

Out of three though, I prefer number 3 - not keen on the shoulder bits on 1 and I tried on something similar to 2 and they (to me) were just not as nice on!

Plus, one of my fave hitchers is wearing number 3 so I am potentially a bit biased ?

3 then 2 then I wouldn't even look at 2 for me as I wouldn't do sleeveless and strapless. A lot of religious and older people I think consider strapless gowns to be unsuitable for church. That may not be relevant to your situation though.

I like number 1 best but probably without the wrap, simply because I tried a similar one on and the straps didn't stay put and really annoyed me. Number 2 I love as well but it's a very different style to the other 2 so probably a very different fit. Did any of them suit your shape better? If you're anything like I was - I used to like the top of one and the bottom of another! Just wondering as well whether or not you took anyone with you or whether or not you were allowed to take photos? I found that seeing photos of me in the dresses I tried sometimes looked different to how a dress looked in the mirror and helped to make my mind up. Also, having someone you can trust there with a critical eye really helped me choose.

Which was most comfortable? Which is easier to walk and possibly sit in? Was any of them heavy so might hurt you later?

i couldn't decide between 2. I loved them both equally even though they were opposites! So my mum said if you came back and they couldn't get this dress for you how would you feel? I said I wouldn't be bothered I'd go back to the other shop and get that one so she asked the question the other way round and I said I wouldn't be bothered I'd come straight back to this shop and get this one! She said to me if its like that I'd go for the cheaper one and save money for something else and that's what I did :-)

I prefer dress number 3 I think. Although they're all nice dresses I just think 1 & 3 are a little more special, in my opinion.
