    I really want real.

Think I've finally settled on this or there abouts, and don't think it would be the same in artificial.

What sort of florists have you been trying? I wonder if independant ones/ones who work from home rather than shops would be more likely to be able to take work on. Not sure if it would make any difference but I guess they wouldn't have busy shops to worry about for Mothers Day.

I'm actually rather shocked, you'd think they'd be happy with the money........ hope you find someone!

I hadn't even considered that! I was happily going to start looking at florists this weekend. Never thought about mother's day!

I got married the day before Mother's day this year, and had no problem finding a florist. We used a freelance florist that came to our house for a consultation, I don't think she has a shop. This is her website, she does Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire so not sure if she'd be any good to you. My bouquet is the first picture in the shower bouquet gallery.

Just letting you know that it is possible to find a florist! Could you try a local wedding fair to find florists that don't have a shop like mine?

I too have gone with a freelance florist. The only reason I found her was because she has done flowers for three of my friends weddings so I would never have found her otherwise. She actually teaches floristry at the local college part time, and also takes on contracts (for example she does all of the flowers for a few huge companies in Birmingham and some big private houses) and finally also does about 30 weddings a year.

Definitely try and find people who do not have the typical florist shop / shop front and maybe even try the colleges to talk to their floristry teachers as even if they do not do weddings, they may be able to recommend someone.

    Hope that helps.

I have contacted a freelance florist whose name I was given from one of the Florists who REJECTED me. She seems very nice, so here's hoping! Thanks everyone.

Seems freelance was indeed the way to go!
