I dont like me dress and only 7 weeks to go oops **UPDATE**

jsmout, 15 June, 2011 at 08:40 Posted on Planning 0 17

A follow on from my rant, which included my dress.

I had another try of my dress on Monday, and 100% im not happy with the size, im a larger size 12 (a mummy tummy still left)

I love my dress (Ronald Joyce Veni in white), but the back looks rediculous even with the modesty panel...so Ive stuck it on ebay!

So now I have just over 7 weeks and no dress (PANIC)!!!!!

So my h2b, says "its only a dress", with a smirk on his face...mmmmm blokes!!!

What will you do if it sells and you don't find another?! Would you be better keeping hold of it until you're sure you have got another?

Only problem I've found with ebay is, if you have paid a fair whack for your dress you'll be lucky to get anywhere near back!! Fingers crossed I still love my dress when it arrives ?

What exactly is wrong with the dress? Is there no way it can be adjusted?

You might be able to get it altered and ajusted so that it fits you better? You chose that dress for a reason, surely? Don't give up on it or you could end up with no dress at all!

Im sorry for this flash, and this is why im so upset, there is no way that this could be a 10, as im a 12, the front is ok though, oh and please ignore my tattoo, long time ago!

Hhmn, OK, well have you spoken to a seamstress? I would make an appointment with one ASAP to see if they can help... if they can, it should only take a couple of weeks. Can you flash the front as well?

What are the shop saying? Surely they measured you so it sounds like they either measured you wrong or did you get the dress in a smaller size that what you were at your first fitting before ordering it?

Have you been to local bridal shops to see what they have you can buy from the rails? x

Sorry Ladies, I brought this off ebay (please dont shout at me) about 12 months ago, had a little try of it and thought Ill loose weight ( I did), but the person who had this before must of been a 6 and had it altered, even though the label says 10.

I havent got the money to go into a shop, so im hoping to find a bargain on ebay in time.

Wedding gowns are always sized in couture sizing,, a size 10 for example, would probably be closer to a size 6 or maybe an 8 at best. It's important to go by your measurements when looking at wedding gowns.

Do be careful with the sizing as i found out its not always true about you needing a size bigger!!

If your buying off ebaby i would ask the exact size of it on boobs and waist.

I bought my wedding dress off the sell my wedding dress.co.uk website...

I found one i loved in the shop (Make sure its not a dress which is from this year as it wont be on there yet) and then found it online and went to the girls house and it was perfect...

also you wouldnt have to wait for a listing to end, wait for postage and can try it on before u buy

might be worth checking it out xx
