Oh good I was dreading hearing something terrible then ha ha. My sons teacher reccommended I go and view it as a fellow teacher had her wedding there and said it was lovely. I live in Rotherham. Are you off to the civic wedding fayre sunday it looks as if its going to be good?? xx

I live on the derbyshire/staffordhsire border. Emma at floral exuberance is doing our wedding flowers. Are you from a similar area then?

Emma is doing ours too, I knew I recognised that picture and that dining room! I am originally from Staffs just outside Wolves and getting married in Shrewsbury.

Those bridesmaid dresses are from Dig For Victory although I'm not getting mine from there as they don't do the colours I want. My mam is making mine from an original 1950s pattern.

Hi, I am going to have a go at 'flashing' for myself. Not done this before, so if it doesnt work, I apologise in advance.

So you're having a 50's style? I thought of doing an Art Deco style to the day as that would match my dress but didn't think it would suit the reception setting which is my OHs parents garden. So I will have an eclectic mix of general things I like, colourful and informal, possibly including a BM dress of that shape. They aren't the right colours for me either on that site. Wish my mum could knock up some lovely dresses for me, very lucky!

Only a very subtle 50s style. I don't have a theme or a colour scheme particularly but hope everything still ties together quite well.
