I'm getting married on the June 1st this year and have pretty much everything arranged and bought except my dress Smiley sad

I can't seem to find anything I like and i went to a wedding fayre yesterday and they all just made me panic because i do realise it very very close to the delivery cut off dates but how can i order something that im not sure about Smiley atonished I have seen a few gorgeous ones but i would have to order them online but people keep trying to put me off doing this.

Ahhh a pointless post really but needed to moan here otherwise ill drive H2B nuts!

Oh no, that sounds rotten. Is it one of those decisions where the more you think, the harder it gets?

Can you do a point score on your top 3? I mention it because I did it on buying a new house. I wanted them all so I listed 10 things I needed, and ranked them out of ten on each one. The highest score swung it and it was out of my hands then. It's not a fluffy, fun thing to do but it might help you to focus on what you REALLY want in your dress. How important is price? How much bling do you want? White/ivory? Do you want it to go well with a veil or not? etc etc.

Personally I would be way too scared to order online. I do not have big kahunas where buying expensive (and important) items online is concerned!

Yeah i do think i am over thinking it. I just guess I thought i would go into a bridal shop and be like wow but it just hasn't happened. I dont have a huge budget to play with and i think thats also making it difficult because the dresses i did think were okay were £800+ which i cant really afford. In my head i know that i want something that is fairly fitted on the top half and then looks abit like abit like a princess/ballroom gown at the bottom Smiley smile

    Hello,

I got my dress from a second hand dress shop, and one of the good things about getting from there is that you can take the dress away with you when you buy it, so dont have to order. Then all you need to do is get it altered if needed, but you probabily will need to which will only take a month maybe. So there are other options, and also this would help the budget.

Where do you live? It says Bradford under you name, it live nearish Bradford. I got my dress from Saltaire. Maybe you could try there, as there have some amazing dresses for a good price. They are mainly expensive designer dresses as well so hopefully there will be one you love.

That is if you arent too bothered about it been second hand. I wasnt too sure at first but when i saw how lovely the dresses were for the prices it made a big difference, also i didnt see anything i really like in other shops.

    Rachel xx

Hi, sorry you are feeling this way!

Have you tried looking at high street stores that do wedding dresses? Monsoon, BHS and TKmaxx all do lovely dresses at reasonable prices!

    Hope you get things sorted!

    Thanks Ladies,

I wouldn't mind second hand at all. I live in bradford and could easily get to Saltaire. What was the name of the shop please? Did you have to book an appointment or anything?

    Thanks Smiley smile

Have you looked on preloved? I found the dress I wanted in a bride shop for £900 - way over my budget but looked on preloved and I got the exact same dress £700 cheaper. If you have an idea/designer that u like u can look in the preloved search and should find something.

    happy searching xx

I bought mine online without ever seeing it in the flesh as it were. If you have seen one then go for it. I found nothing I liked at all in shops or wedding fayres, you just need to open your mind a little bit to the other options out there? My dress was a sample so a fraction of the price the designer normally charges and if I do say so myself, was bloody lovely Smiley smile
