I found the most beautiful wedding ring...

Penny P, 13 October, 2013 at 19:56 Posted on Planning 0 11

I have been looking for a few months for a white gold wedding ring that looks great next to my engagement ring (which is very blingy!) and today I found it!

The thing is it's under £40 and from Argos! I love it, am I being a snob? Surely the cost and where it comes from is irrelevant?

Here it is (sorry, not great pic)

It's totally irrelevant. You could search for years and pay the earth and still not find anything that is such a good match.

I got mine off of Amazon for £25 inc p+p. As long as its the right ring it doesn't matter where it comes from. People only need to know if you tell them!

Doesn't matter at all what the cost is and where it's from Smiley smile
That's actually my fave ring out argos, the rings are one of the things we're really not bothered about and don't want to spend a lot, and I genuinely thought this one and another were the nicest out them all Smiley smile
    Might get this one myself!

Both of my rings are from Argos - when people have seen them they guessed Packs (an expensive jewellery shop where we live). As long as you like it, that's all that matters.

I was talking to a 'we buy your gold' man and he said that H.Samuels get their rings from the same place as Argos - they have the same markings inside!

I recommend going to Argos and having a look at it, It really glitters and is beautiful! I took a list of 6 that I liked the look of online ranging from £39.99 - £220 and added this one to the list just to see if I liked a band (all the others were diamond set) and it was the best looking of the lot!

I think cost is irrelevant as long as it's made well & is of a good quality metal.

I don't know much about mismatching metals, eg gold and palladium etc but as long as one won't cause damage to the other then I don't think it matters.

The cost aspect wouldnt bother me at all, but from the picture you can see its hollow, i dont know how comfortable/uncomfortable that would be to wear and also how durable it would be with dents. Gorgeous ring though

Yes, it's very light so I'm not sure how long it'll last. H2B was with me when I chose it and after he asked me many times if I was sure it was the right one he said 'If it only lasts a year it doesn't matter, I would buy you a ring every year for the rest of our lives if need be' Awww bless him ?

I was just going to make sure you had seen it in the flesh, I was looking for a fake ring whist pregnant and I did see that one. It's pretty, but it was very thin and light, and I would imagine it is quite weak, but if this doesn't bother you then go for it!

The one thing i would say is half of my ER is hollow and if my hands swell at all (hot/cold/excercise) it hurts, a LOT, it really digs in and leaves pretty prominent marks. I have to take my ring off to sleep because it hurts too much.

Just one thing to be careful of with a hollow ring!

    Other than that it's gorgeous!
