I got shellac'd at the weekend............

Red Baroness, 25 October, 2010 at 12:53 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 13

What did you do?????

Also went to wedding fayre with my mother, and made scones (with cream and jam - yum) for after Sunday lunch and pud at our friends' house - was pleasantly stuffed!

Now off for lunch with OH. Lucky git is off this week as he's a teacher, so I made him meet me at the office to take me to lunch!!

Spangles - I will get round to checking out the lashes, but was already booked in for a shellac-ing and was dying to try it. Impressed so far - 30 minutes appointment for rock hard nail colour (they shine so much!) and not a chip in sight (yet).

Shellac (see link) is a non chip nail colour that lasts for 14 days.

Looks good - I used to have gel nails done, and that looks very similar process but without roughing up your nail beforehand.

I've never heard of shellac - looks good though. What colour did you go for?

    Wow, that looks good.

Nail polish doesn't last a day on me ☹️, I have oily nails apparently.

I'm the same godmother. Minx nails lasted on me though - they do clear ones. Might be worth a try?

    I went for this colour:

I'm quite impressed so far, as nail colour doesn't really stay on my nails more than 2 days without hints of wear. It is so quick as well, with no drying time.

Oh, I might have to try this as nail varnish chips so easily for me and I end up not bothering with it.

I was going to say it sounds like getting your nails minxed.
