No i had to get an additional form signed by the registrar before i sent the form off to the passport office. And it's not valid until the day of the wedding.

Wow that's exciting!! i'm just in the process of sorting mine out in my new name. Can I ask where you had your photo for it taken. Did you use a photo booth like the ones in supermarkets? I know that the rules for photos are so strict I don't wanna use a booth if they aren't up to scratch.

I used the booth in Boots. Most of those booths have 'passport' as a category you can choose when you have them taken.

Its soooooooooooo weird looking at it though - i cant stop staring at it!!!

Yep up to 3 months in advance, i probably cut mine a bit fine with 1 month but i did the post office check and send thingy and it took less that 2 weeks.

O fab!!! I got mine last week. Its in my maiden name tho! Cos it was gona expire 3 months before the wedding!! Aw well I can keep a wee bit of myself for a wee while!! lol

Haha!!! I wuldnt have worried about it but it runs out just after wedding so need a new one to go on HM!
