I Have ages left yet I have a massive headach already!!!!!and slight rant over guest remarks!!!!!

kenzie3, 13 June, 2010 at 20:04 Posted on Planning 0 14

I haven't started doing a thing, I have my dress my BM dresses, and know what my groomsmen are wearing but now just need to go book EVERYTHING!!! but june is so bloody expensive for me, i just feel time is running out already, and getting really frustrated with just sitting here waiting for the end of the month to arrive.....

I'm also getting "peed" off with people interfering with what my daughter is wearing, she stopped wearing girls clothes and chose to be a boy at the age of 2, so people who have got to know her over the years have only ever known her to be this way (shes now 10) she has short hair and really doesn't look nor act like a girl in anyway, shes even asked for a sex change, but now im getting married she will be wearing tails like her dad and brother, but the amount of "so called "FRIENDS" HAVE TOLD ME TO FORCE HER TO WEAR A DRESS OR ITS WRONG SHES ALLOWED TO WEAR A SUIT, on her mum and dads wedding is really really doing my head in, to the point i cant be bothered to invite them to the wedding, god i just wanna scream!!!!!!!!! sorry slight rant, but just need to get it out and i know you lot are very understanding and hopefully dont mind x

I agree. It's as much your daughter's day as it is yours so why shouldn't she wear what she wants?

I totally agree with the others on this one. What difference does it make to anyone else what she will be wearing? Surely what's important is that your daughter is comfortable and feels herself on your wedding day. That way you'll be more relaxed too. Some people are just so rude.

Ignore them. The most important thing is that she feels comfortable and happy. It's your day, so tell them to keep their noses out!

I agree you have loads of time to get booking etc so dont stress about that

As for your daughter i think so called friends is the best way to desbribe them my mums best mate daughter is 17 now and has just become Ollie officially and she knew from a young age she wasnt comfortable as Olivia.

I think your amazing and as long as she is supported in how she feels sod your mates get her the best suit you can find and if they dont like it let them swing

Have you booked your venue yet? If not, I definitely recommend getting that sorted asap, especially if you have partiular places in mind.

As for our daughter, let her wear whatever she wants and stuff what other people think.

Nobody else's business. I'm sure she'll look adorable in whatever she wears. Clearly she wouldn't be her in a dress and everybody should respect that. Would they prefer her (and consequently you) to be miserable on the day?

Hi there! Having your dress and bms dresses is a great start! (im still yet to find my dress!ARGH!) i know how you feel tho, feel like time is running out but people do organise weddings in alot shorter time than we are! im still being quite laid back and not hugely panicing but im sure that will kick in soon!ive only booked church and venue!itll all turn out for the best and will be a great day!(as long as im n ot walking down the aisle in the nude!LOL)

I really wouldnt listen to these 'so called' friends of yours, your daughter has lived this way for the past 8years so why be any different for your wedding????!! Your daughter is amazing to have the courage to be who she really feels she is!hth!xx

    You have ages...don't panic.

As for your daughter; sod the lot of 'em. If she's happy, you're happy and that's all that matters.
