Well I managed to pop home at lunch and change them. I wouldn't have been able to pop out earlier without telling someone what I'd done!

I feel your humiliation. I did he exact same thing a couple of weeks ago. I only noticed after I had been to the hairdressers and my BIL's. both black pumps, one with a round toe, patent and the other pointy, suede with studs. Christ knows what they thought at the hairdessers, they must have been totally on display when I was stretched out having my hair washed!
