I too am finding it hard to find topics to post that will inspire a lively chat (without being banned, deleted or invaded by a certain wooden variety!!!)

I hardly ever go on WP anymore ☹️ But I have made the progression over to BT. OT has been a bit livelier of late, but does have its quieter days! I just like the general community feeling that Hitched has ?

Maybe there should be a thread for 1st time buyers!! I certainly could do with advice & support

House buying thread's not a bad idea even though I'm not planning to buy again for sometime- I rent out a house so could give LL tips maybe ?

I love WP just to see all the different ideas everyone has - I have always loved the fact that even though every wedding is basically made up of similar parts, each one is completely different to the next because of that couple's tastes. I'm a bit soppy about weddings!

I too have no intentions of having any kids but I'm getting a nephew anytime soon (2/5 engaged apparently, whatever that might mean!) and have been lurking to see what babies are all about. They seem to get away with more swearing over on BT, and as they're not living in a wedding bubble they're a lot more random! Funny bunch actually ?

I like seeing what there is on here but it does tend to get neglected a bit. Let's all try to keep it going ? I like the weekly... posts, keeps things rolling along nicely!

I loved my time on WP. Then I left for awhile after I got married. Tried just to stay on OT but it was a bit hit or miss. We started TTC (Trying to concieve) back in December which is when I joined BT. Again they are a very close community but it's different to WP. Obviously people mainly stay on WP just for their own weddings (except HIB) but some people have obviously been on BT for many years sharing pregnancy and childbirth, through to their children growing up. I can see myself staying on their quite a while. I often forget to check back here but hopefully we can really get it going again x

Having nephews/nieces is the best! Before my daughter was born, I spent so much time with mine and loved that when they screamed/kicked up a fuss I could give them back to their parents to deal with! Not the case once you have your own, and the 5am start this morning isn't very welcome!!

I've only recently started using BT and it's great that there are some very matter of fact mums- makes me realise my daughter is in fact normal and we all have our baby problems!

I think we are doing well with this section now though. Some very entertaining stories!

We do already have this, just doesn't always happen as there hasn't been that many people on here.

It's so lovely to see all you new WP graduates over here. I must admit I'd gone a bit slack on the posting because it was so quiet, but now there's more of us I will try and make more of an effort.

I remember what it was like to be in limbo, it's an odd feeling.

I haven't been on WP much since I got married mostly cos I didn't have time but also cos I felt I didn't really fit there any more as I'm no longer planning a wedding. As it is, I've left it so long I hardly know anybody on there now ☹️

All that said - I've managed to flash pics of my wedding and dress in 2 threads over on WP tonight......result!!!!! lol

I'm planning a wedding and even I don't feel like I fit in on WP sometimes, because I just don't know what I'm doing!! But that's what it's there for I reckon, and it's the experience of people like you Tinks that makes life much easier for the current planners like me

I'm glad you aren't leaving either, it wouldn't be the same without you, I like that you're honest and give other people the courage to be honest too
