I just did something silly.......

AutumnRose, 30 June, 2010 at 14:11 Posted on Planning 0 28

.........and looked up the 16 day weather forecast for our venue postcode.

It has rain showers forecast for all that week - although only goes up the Thursday before the wedding.

I know it's stupid and i can't control the weather at all so no point in worrying but it's still woryying me!!!!

Surely they can't really know this far in advance can they?!?!?!?!?

☹️

The weather forecast isn't always right - especially the really far in advance ones. I wouldn't worry about it too much flower x

No you cant control the weather. SO think of the worst case senario. ... I will rain buckets ALL day...right got that image in your head??? Now think of how you wont let it ruin your day, get your head around possible problems i.e. - need brolly, other options for photos (think singing in the rain). Be pro-active and keep chanting 'it wont spoil my day'

Then.. on the day, as you are so prepared and dont now care what the weather does, it is bound to be great!

Yeh im really gutted about weather too as our venue was chosen due to the amazing gardens- the barn is nice but i had dreams of everyone sat outside with their pimms and the kids playing in the stream...

Apart from outside we dont have too many photo opportunities as inside is so dark

OH GOD im not helping am i!

Rest assured though that once the days been and gone we won't care less!!! You rarely hear an OM moan how bad the weather was! We're just being silly Smiley smile

    xx

P.s. ive just done two googles-

the 16 day one i found said it was wet and miserable-

whereas the monthly outlook from the met (we know how reliable they are!) said it will be dry and hot!

Typcial- nothing we can do Smiley smile

I find the best thing to do in these situations is ask the cat....xx

My O/H does a job where he is forever checking weather!! He says that he never trusts the weather report more than three days out, so dont worry just yet ladies. I'm not saying it will change or wont change just saying that it could dramatically change! If you get what i mean lol.

I think don't worry yet till about a week before you will have a much more accurate pic, although i hate to admit it 99% of the time with the weather he is right!!!! And all he ever says to me is wait till3 days before and you'll have a much bettr pic, which normally makes me wanna kill him when im stressing about weather!!!

Any forecast over 3 days is very questionable. I wouldn't worry too much at this stage.

    Fingers crossed!!

Ive heard lots of lovely things about the powermills and looks beautiful from outside, not been in there though.

We are getting married at The STar in the high street, Alfriston. Looks tiny from outside but goes quite a way back and there arent any beautiful gardens to get wet in.lol. that said though we were going to walk over the road to have pictures taken on 'the ty' green,

I am planning for rain, that way anything else is a bonus!!!

Will get some funky wellies and a heart shaped brolly and I'm sorted!

I think that most togs will also tell you that an overcast day makes for better pictures, not as bright, no squinting, light is easier to work with... x

    Stop looking and stop panicking!!

I honestly didn't look at the weather forecast at all in the run up. There's nothing you can do so why worry?? People kept coming up to me saying "oooh, it's gonna be a lovely weekend" and even that scared the bee-jeezus outta me.

We were very lucky, but no matter what happens, you will have an AMAZING day and honestly, you won't be phased by anything on the day!
