I need help with my 'look' and pulling it together!

Flamin Nora, 15 February, 2012 at 19:46 Posted on Planning 0 14

I have my dress, a side tiara and a veil coming from Margaret on bay of E. I want to start thinking about the rest of my outfit, especially shoes.

My dress is diamond white with a silver thread lace but I am finding it hard to find shoes that aren't too shiny silver or blinging white! And do I go for full shoe or sandal?

And jewellery, havent a clue how to bring it all together! Please help, what will look 'right'?

Your dress and tiara are gorgeous! I would say go for simple jewellery as you already have so much detail in these pieces. I'm doing just faux diamond studs and a nice bracelet. I also have a simple crystal necklace in the shape of a flower. Maybe something like that would be good for you.

As for shoes, it partly depends on what time of year. I think strappy sandals or a slipper might suit your dress. I wouldn't worry about the shoes being too shiny, people probably won't even see them and you'll probably take them off Smiley smile

I'd go for understated jewellery as there is already quite a lot going on.

As for shoes how about something like this ... http://www.next.co.uk/x494358s10#806341x49

Dont know how high you want the heel or if it would be too lacey!?

I definitly agree with you both on the understated, dont think I want a necklace, but pearls? or diamonds? Id like pearls but dont know if they would clash.

Big Apple - the heel height is perfect on those, Im short, but I think the lace may be too much ...

Thanks for the suggestions ladies, any more out there?

Ive just spotted these! Will the front brooch bit on the front catch on the lace?

I agree that you don't need a necklace and the rest of the jewellery should be simple, especially your earrings. I could make some simple Light Grey pearl earrings to match your tiara.

If you wanted a bracelet, a Light Grey version of Hope would look lovely (see below). If you are worried about catching your dress, smaller rhinestone balls could be used so that the pearls were slightly larger so the balls would not be against your dress.

You know where I am if you need me ?

I think you have enough going on there so maybe some simple studs and if you really want a silver locket, a cross or a pearl on a chain

Thanks ladies, you have given me a lot to think about!

I think my main issue is my wobbles about the dress, its so different and hard to co-ordinate everything else with!
