I need some Honeymoon help please...

Maxibon, 27 October, 2009 at 10:32 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0

Good morning ladies and gents, as the title suggests I need help!

Im getting married in June 2010 and we were going on honeymoon the next day, but things have changed slightly. My brother and his girlfriend have decided to get married in Sept 2010.....in Turkey!

As my OH and I work in retail we cant keep taking time off so we have decided to postpone our honeymoon and have it in Turkey so we can attend my brothers wedding too (two birds, one stone etc)

While we are happy doing this, we still want it to be special for us as newlyweds (does that sound selfish?) But I dont know where to start, I have searched "honeymoons in turkey" but dont get anything thats jumping out at me - Does anyone have any advice / tips / help please?

- it doesnt help that I'm in a large town in London but it has no travel agents!! It would make things so much easier!!

TIA Max xxx

Hi Max, Turkey has changed its image in recent years to move much more upmarket with a lot of luxury, designer, boutique hotels - so perfect for honeymoons! The Mardan Palace is one of the newest - and biggest! - ultra luxury hotel (http://www.mardanpalace.com/).

Turkey today is a beautiful fusion of new and old. Ancient monuments, temples, amphitheatres and crusader castles stand side by side with the modern cities and the plethora of luxury hotels Turkey now has to offer. No matter what kind of holiday experience you are looking for, whether you want to play a challenging round at the Gloria New golf course, relax in a local hammam, or experience the cuisine at the finest restaurants in Istanbul, there will be something for you!

The Turkish Riviera (Southern coast) is bathed in sunshine for 300 days of the year with 600km of amazing shoreline! Popular destinations include Kemer, Antalya, Belek and Lara. Hotel choices here iclude L'Ancora Hotel in Kemer, the Turkiz Hotel in Kemer, the Gloria Serenity Resort in Belek, and the Rixos Premium in Belek.

The Aegean Riviera is arguably the most beautiful with bays, peninsulas, coves and golden beaches - including the famous Olu Deniz lagoon (used in most tourist shots of Turkey as its so beautiful!). Popular destinations include Olu Deniz itself, Sarigerme and Bodrum. Hotels you might look at include The Hilton Dalaman, the Oyster Residences at Olu Deniz, the Kempinski Hotel near Bodrum, and the Casa Dell'Arte in Bodrum.

Hope this helps a little but if you need any other advice - no obligation(!) - please just ask.
