I Phone/Blackberry Help...!

**excited**, 29 June, 2009 at 23:22 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8

I have had my current phone for 5 years and I think it is about time I traded it in...I was thinking of getting an I phone or blackberry....anyone any thoughts on which would be best to go for?

My tariff at the moment is very good and is with O2, I get 1000 texts and 600 mins for £17.00, what are your tariffs if you have any of the above phones please?

Thank you.

I have a Blackberry with Vodafone, get a lot less than that and pay a lot more. I would go for the iPhone. That could be partly due to the fact I hate my Blackberry

I have the Iphone and I love it. I pay £35, can't remember how many minutes, but I think it's 500 texts, I never go over either. And as I signed a two year contract, the Iphone was free

I just got an iphone and I absolutely love it. My tarrif is the same as CBear - £35 for 600 minutes and 500 texts. If you are an existing O2 customer, you can get an upgrade though so not sure what the deals available are.

I have both - iPhone at home and Blackberry for work. I would go for the iPhone every time. Until you've tried the iPhone, the Blackberry seems reasonably easy to use but then you realise it's rubbish. Unintuitive, tiny screen, pain in the arse keyboard.

Get an iPhone, they are fantastic.

I heard a radio interview the other day with when the new iphone was released, and those in the know said that the Blackberry functionality can't be beaten for email, so to get one of those if that is what your main use would be.

FOr everything else, the iphone wins hands down.

    Apparently.

I've got a Blackberry and am happy with it apart from one niggle, that the contacts often don't display as an incoming call - jsut the number displays. There is a fiddly workaround to fix it, but it often this disappears again so you need to do this fairly frequently (every few weeks). Also, doing LOT OF CAPITALS is a real faff with a Blackberry but that's OK as I don't shout much Smiley winking

Oh, and Hitched has stopped working on my Blackberry. (Can get to the forum but if I select any threads to read I get an error. It used to work - although painfully slow - so I don't know what has happened.) But then when I am using mobile internet it is usually because I have time to kill rather than a desperate need to get information so I don't mind about the speed.

I have a blackberry for work and an iphone for personal - I love the iphone, I like the fact I can easily surf the internet, send photos and have my music on it only thing the blackberry does better is typing if you have lots to type otherwise I much much much prefer the iphone (have had one for 18 months and just upgraded to the newest one which is SUPER)
