I think i've changed my mind *UPDATED*

Rebecca86, 3 February, 2011 at 14:37 Posted on Planning 0 12

I love the colours purple just recently i've been buying things but in purple, My coffee cup, my daughters coat, i want to but a new purple kettle & tea coffee sugar jars ect i don't know why but i'm really into purple. As some of you know my theme/colours was tiffany blue not the easiest colour in the world so now its turquoise as it's easier to match, but i'm thinking i'd quite like to change it to purple the OH said he'd rather purple to turquoise but it's up to me ! cheers great help hun !!

I seem to be struggling to put together a purple & white mood board, i've done loads before too ? Should we go for purple i'm also thinking butterflies to tie in with the summer month of July ...maybe different shades of purple too so it has more of a summer feeling to it??

So do any of you have any ideas for me?

I know there's a few with the purple colour, can you inspire me?

Sherrie any flashes you have will be fab as always ?

Cheers Ladies

Becky !

There are some many shades of purple from the deep Cadbury Purple, eggplant,Aubergine to a light Lilac so here are a few ideas on all of them. I would say keeping it light with just a few purple accents for a summer wedding:

I might be completely misguided - but couldn't you have Turqoise and Purple:

    Hi

I love purple and have done a fair few designs in that colour recently.

This one is on my website at the moment which is proving a hit.

As it's a Summer wedding how about a pale floaty lilac type thing for the bridesmaids with maybe some brighter bolder colours in the bouquets - just a thought.

I prefer the colours seperate, not too easy on the eye together, in my opinion

I think if you were going to have one colour, purple would make life easier as the shades contrasting wouldn't be a problem.

I love Turquiose and purple together in a "theme" but not as a uniform item IYSWIM? I would definately rock it for my bedroom for example, but I think the "pieces" would have to be seperate. Eg: Bridesmaids in Turquise and then men in purple cravats etc
