I think my kitten is barmy!

Clairebecky, 3 January, 2009 at 00:07 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 6

He is running into the lounge, looking at me, then sprinting out to the hall, up the stairs and jumping down again, then pouncing on things I can't see - maybe his shadow?

Is this normal kitten behaviour or do I have a kitten with ADHD or something??

Sounds pretty normal to me! The bad news is they don't grow out of it ?

He is quite amusing to watch. He also seems to enjoy wrestling with the beads on my Christmas tree and attacking my trainers! When he came in our room this morning he was prowling around on the duvet pouncing on our hands & feet whenever we moved them under the covers!

Ahh you've got a lively ball of fluff ?. My two were completly diff. One was a daredevil curtain climber, her brother was always trying to follow her but would get scared and mew for help half way up the curtain lol

It's this time of night he seems to spring to life and have a mad half-hour or so!?

He's not as loopy as his brother thankfully, he hasn't tried to climb the curtains yet. He did manage to jump up onto the dresser last night though and was tramping about in the basket where we keep the remote controls!

When ours was a kitten we could tell the time by her. Every night at exactly 11pm she would go completely mad, running up and down the stairs at full speed, ricocheting off chairs, circling the living room. And then shortly after that she'd fall asleep. Was very amusing!! She's grown out of it now and tends to take herself off to bed at 11pm! ?

He is currently sitting watching the Haven advert on telly!?

I've never owned a cat before. My Mum didn't like pets much, growing up, so we only ever had hamsters and goldfish. I never knew kittend could be so amusing!

Seeing as my cat spent the night presenting me with half a walnut to "fetch", nibbling my toes and scratching at my door, yes, perfectly normal. Enjoy!!
