I want a new dress....

teeheeyoucrazyguys!, 5 June, 2009 at 22:11 Posted on Planning 0 22

Noooo not a wedding dress, silly, a new dress to wear on Hen # 2. Decided I'd like to wear one as the jeans and blouse combo last time was an unflattering disaster, lol.

I've got my red satin slingbacks but black would be more slimming. Would a monsoon frock be too expensive to wear for one night?? I dont know ...been looking about the net but really stuck for ideas. Not slim enough for a pencil style so something A-line or circular.... if you pass any on your travels give us a nudge, appreciated x

Lol i just noticed that bad grammar....

black dress for my fat belly..... i have skinny feet... so instead of a red dress.... y'know what I mean..I just find their frocks helluva expense, thats all. I'll have a looksee, though, I have 2 weeks till the day.

I treated myself to a dress from Monsoon for my hen night and certainly didn't regret the decision. It is one I will definitely wear again at some point (hopefully)!! I felt so special and if you can't buy a nice new dress for your hen party, when can you?? Looking back at the pics (it was only last week) I am still pleased with my decision. Plus everytime I wear it I will be reminded of how special I felt the first time I wore it.

My vote goes to a new dress.

i like that but worried the satin would cling just as badly.....

    Bravissimo are AMAZING!!!!!

Go on, treat yourself. Btw....i so often notice in your posts that you really talk yourself down in terms of how you look. Yet i have never seen a picture of you looking anything but gorgeous....give yourself a break once in a while hun, you dont deserve the put downs you give yourself.

LOL cheers autumn, Im not putting myself down I just know what suits my body shape and theres nothing worse than ''looking like a 10lb shyte in an 8lb bag'' as the saying goes, lolololol.....

clinging fabrics are a no-no unless you have a wonderfully slim flat stomach, in my opinion.

and OH has said yeaaaaa to buying me a dress as I have 3 occassions to wear it to, now all i have to think of is a wedding gift for myself! Dont have time to buy a dress tomorrow as I have a busy day but I'll certainly be looking if I can!

I prefer the first Monsoon dress teehee - I think it will look much more flattering than the second, actually.

Please can I see the photos of your first hen night?

I only posted one pic of me sitting at a table so no one could see my belly. The blouse I bought had a ribbon belt - bad move, the ribbon ended up under my boobs and the tyre tween boobs and jeans belt was not flattering......... ive learned my lesson. Either stay standing or dont wear it with a ribbon.

It would look a bit odd and the belt loops would be obvious... its soo straight otherwise it needs a bit of flounce.....prolly better if i wore it with a skirt and not a pair of troos.....

I often cut off the belt loops on tops and dresses.
