Love them both but i like the mirror and lighting on the second one mine are these crystal towers which will stand on a led base so they light up alternating between white and purple and then we will have a ring of faux deep purple and cream roses around the bottom to hide the led light box

I think the first is more practical, as people can speak over them, not try to look through or round them.

I have nothing to flash! Sorry! ?

    Love them - they're gorgeous.

We are thinking of going for something like this:

Or if we don't go for martini glasses we might go for a tall stand - either way the floral arrangement will be something like that!

    I'm being different.

    No surprise there then.

We're having vintage cake stands with fake flowers. The cake stands will later be used in the buffet hopefully.

That sounds gorgeous HillierB2B - if I were in Scotland I'd say give me her number! ?

I've seen them with the gel & lights in the bottom of the glasses, they do look stunning.

I like the first one in the OP.

We didnt have centrepieces in the end but the food was served in the middle buffet style for starters and desserts and by by the time all the other bits and bobs were there we didnt need anything extra.

    Thank you, Vicky?

Yes, they are artificial flowers. I made them using a round oasis, some dowel and a flower pot. Easy! (I wish?)

WE are having something like this, but with 9 roses and some more greenery to make them a little cheaper.

I want fish bowls with a mixture of dark red/burgundy and mango calla lillies sitting on top of a round mirrored plate and some scatter crystals. Our florist is a bit unsure as to whether she'll be able to get the dark red/burgundy lillies as apparently they can sometimes look really dark, bordering on black ?.

For some reason I can't get the pics to post ?

I'm probably going to have a mix of high arrangements and lower ones - final flowers tbc, but they will probably look something like this:

    and this:

i'm going to ask our florist to make sure the flowers can be taken out of the vases easily so that they can be given to people to take home.

from yours hillierb2b, i think i prefer the lower ones - like someone else said, it'll be easier to talk to people over the table with those.

    Hi bluewater,

    your centrepieces are stunning!!

me & h2b had a little talk about it last night as you girls are right, the smaller ones are more appropriate as ppl can see each other while talking!

i also popped into see my cousin who is a florist (and has her own shop) to show her my ideas. she suggested puting some gel beads in the bottom and the led lights to make them appear bigger. she is off to country baskets next week so she will pick up a few bits and said she would do one just to see what it looks like. x

We're having these vases but with pink and white flowers in them, we've got the mirrors and tea lights as well. Not sure whether to table confetti, diamonds or rose petals scattered around the table.
