I've not ordered one as we're getting married in April and it would feel a bit prematurely smug weather-wise to actually book an ice cream cart! We'd end up with snow or something by way of retribution...but, when we were considering a July wedding one of the venues we considered offered an ice cream cart. It was 150 pounds for three hours BUT, I went to a wedding at this venue a few weeks ago, and the couple had booked said ice cream cart. Basically, it was left outside and around a corner with no one to encourage people to use it (no one even mentioned it was there!) it was entirely wasted. So if you have paid more I wouldn't worry, you'll probably be paying more for a better service.

Does yours have an attendant? This one didn't. And it was TINY, it was honestly really rubbish - I bet yours is much better. I remember thinking when I saw the venue options that it was really cheap. Don't worry, if you've done your research and this is the best deal you've found, it must be a good deal!

We are getting a vintage ice cream van to serve our guests with unlimited amounts of 8 flavour of home made ice cream, retro ice lollies and sweets plus strawberries and cream covering 75 guests for £450.

We thought it would be a lovely touch for our guests and it suits the informal nature of our day

We've paid £350 for 100 guests having unlimited ice cream - the cart will be there for three hours, we get to choose the ice cream flavours and they supply all the goodies to go with it (wafers, sprinkles etc). We will have someone manning the cart and it can be inside if it's not the weather for ice cream!!

Ours is from a local farm and they've even invited us there to try out all the favours!

This may be a stupid question but does an ice cream cart have to be outside or can it be inside the venue? Cart not van that is!

We paid £390 for a VW Camper van with 6 flavours, loads of toppings and personalised wafers for 3 hours. The gin and tonic sorbet went down very well with the adults!
