I'd Luck To Treat Miranda To Somehting Nice ...But I'm A Bloke...So. I'm Naturally Clueless..Can You Help ?

Hi Girls,

As a bloke, I of course donlt have a clue about most things !?

Having just recently proposed to Miranda I would now like to treat her to something nice and special.

I was thnking along the lines of a champagne balloon flight !...though, (DOH !). I don't think you get many of those this time of year !..sheesh !..I'm such a dufus head !!

Perhaps I can get some inspiration from you ?..what would you ocnsider an absolutely fantastic treat (within reason..say £500 MAX) I'd like to be a surprise but if what you have in mind means she has to know before hand then please do mention it.

thanks Girls

Charlie (Just a bloke )

Actually, this is a good time of year for ballooning; nice still mornings, and dawn isn't too early so you don't have to get up at quite such silly times.

At the salon I go to, they'll do these simultaneously, whilst colouring your hair. Talk about multi-tasking. It's a miracle, I tell you.

I'd love to have someone buy me a manicure and a hollywood. I spend far too much of my own slackly-earnt cash on these ?

    THANKS kierenthecommunity,

I sincerely hope Miranda is not a bloke !..not now that we're engaged. Though I did find some old name tags that she used to have attached to her clothing , they say ' Michael'...hmmmmmm !!

Erhmm...she's my fiancee !....and the only advertising going on here is my request for a special treat !

So far, I've been told that she's a bloke and that I should get her pubes made to look like Richard Gere and that I should give her a BJ !!

    All brilliant suggestions !! *smiles*

In fairness you've also been told that a balloon champagne trip would be good at this time of year, and that it was a good idea...

It's really hard to suggest gifts for someone we don't know. One woman might love diamonds, but I would hate them. I'd like to be taken somewhere like the Fat Duck, someone else would hate that. You're the one who knows her best. Hating heights, I would rather eat my own hair than go up in a hot air balloon, I would literally have to be held in to stop me throwing myself out.

    THANKS LUTHIEN,

You are right of course. I know Miranda very well, I suppose instead of asking for suggestions I should have asked everybody for what they would like if they were to be treated to a special treat. Then I could get get mixed answers

    Hmmm..the fat Duck !!...*le yummy*

I believe this is the best time of year for ballooning as the air is stillest. However, it's a terrible surprise - I've been "treated" to a balloon flight by work and I was so traumatised I had to take to my bed for several days.

    Thanks SophieM,

Wow !..Ok, I will put my thinking caps on again.

Perhaps I'll get some brochures and the surprise can be a choice of a few..........actually *lightbulb eureka moment*...I think I know what would be the best thing !!...ooh ooh *getting excited*....

You sound sweet-and generous.....I am assuming the 1carat platinum "sparkler" was the main present?! ?

As others have said, it depends on the kind of woman she is. Personally, I would hate the hot air ballooning. You can get some fabulous reduced/two for one spa deals on LastMinute where treatments are included. Last year we had fabulous weekends at The Barcelo Palace Hotel in the Peak District,The Macdonald Spa Hotel in Bath and Landsdowne Place in Brighton for our respective birthdays and 1st wedding anniversary. Then, I absolutely love spa/city breaks. If you can't get away for the weekend, you could always have a spa day, nice lunch then see a show/play.

If you go down the spa route- As an extra treat (for you!) you could book her a Hollywood.....after all, no respectable muff should look like Bin Laden's beard! Kidding!

    Congratulations on your engagement. ?
