Ideas for children's activity box

Sarah5790, 2 July, 2014 at 19:46 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi

I only have 3 children coming to my wedding during the day so I have bought personalised boxes with their names on. However now I am struggling with what to put in them, the only thing I have bought so far is bubbles (the bottle is a shape of a wedding cake).

I need to buy for 2 boys (aged 3 and 5) and 1 girl however the little girl is my 7 year old daughter and she is a bridesmaid so I would like to make her's really special. I just thought the activity boxes might help to occupy them during the reception as I would hate for them to be bored. Other children will be coming to the evening party so they'll be able to play and dance with each other then.

Any ideas would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance x

    Hi,

I'm doing a similar thing for the 5 children at our wedding. So far I've got colouring/puzzle books & coloured pencils, Scratch Art sets and polystyrene glider planes. Also thinking of buying them a book or small jigsaw each.

My daughters are bridesmaids too & I'm asking my friend to make them personalised ragdolls.

My nephew will be 7 & really wants to be involved in the wedding so I'm buying him a disposable camera & giving him a list of quirky photos to take.

I've brought colouring books and crayons, kalydescope (not sure on spelling!), jigsaw, those things you draw on and wipe away again and a couple of wind up toys from ELC for the youngest and a sticker book for the older one. I've got most of mine from Wilkinsons, ELC and Asda!

I am reliably informed that stickers and colouring are the way forward!

On the tables I had a bag for each child containing:

    a wind up toy

    colouring pencils & pad

    plastic jumping frog

    stickers

    box of raisins

    a badge

    Moshi Monster figures secret pack

    giant sunglasses

I also provided bubbles and LOADS of kiddie snacks for the drinks reception before the meal.

Wilkos is brilliant for stuff like this, also Tiger if you have a local branch.
