... what would you like to receive from your friend if she couldn't be there to share it with you?

This

or

this

or

some of these?

Or something else?

I love the idea of number 2 but wouldn't appreciate it as I am on a diet (normally would like it is a cool idea though). I love recieving flowers so would also be pleased with number 1.

I like all of those suggestions but prefer number 2, because a) it is unusual and b) I am a pig!

    I like all 3

    1. everyone likes to receive flowers

    2. chocolates are good if not on a diet

    3. I would like these as not something that people would usually buy you (apart from partner of parents) and if they were given to me from a friend i would think of them when i wore them, so a nice present

She is on a diet - but like me, it's a life-time thing, so is it wrong to think dang it, it's her birthday, go for it?!

A friend of mine (not same friend!) sent me some of those PJs for my birthday (the Smart Chick ones) and I love them!

Flowers are lovely .. and not usual in Texas (don't ask me why), so it might be old school for us, but quite special over there

Number 3 for me. I like durable presents, so I'm reminded of the giver. I think pyjamas are a cute gift.

I think all 3 are lovely but I think number 2 would be best as its unusual and a nice way to spoil her on her birthday - even more so if she is usually on a diet.

    Thanks everyone

I chose a box of chocolate covered strawberries in the end - a dozen. Worked out cheaper than the mug, and she already has one as I sent her an edible arrangement before, although not the chocolate covered one.

Was going to plump for the PJs, but forgot about Memorial Day, which means it needs to be an overnight delivery, taking the total cost inc. tax to $80, and seeing as this is a 'little' something from me, I'll save it for another occasion when not buying a main present with a group of friends. We bought her a 'Circle of Friends' pendant together, which is lovely. And we are quite a close knit circle of friends ?

I know she likes the chocolate strawberries .. and flowers too, but she can share the strawberries with her lovely husband ?
