If you could choose a female celeb best friend...

jaz, 1 July, 2009 at 12:56 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 43

Who would you choose and why?

I'd have Holly Willoughby - I just think she's lovely. I think she'd be a fantastic caring and loyal friend who would bring me buns and wine when I felt down and would be great to out for a night out with too.

Another possibility would be Beth Ditto - I think she seems so nice but a bit crazy with it. There'd never be a dull moment with her ?

Mine would possibly be Pink. I think she would be great to have a night out with but also be good if you need a shoulder to cry on. Plus shes really pretty. ?

Jaz - ditto Holly Willoughby and also perhaps Jennifer Anistor for the same reasons you gave for Holly.

Cosmo, I love Jennifer Aniston too but worry I'd expect her to be too much like Rachel Green and then I'd be disappointed if she wasn't as nice ?

I forgot about Kirstie Allsop too. I think she'd be fab.

I quite like Claudia Winkleman but not sure if it's just because she replied to me on twitter ?

Funnily enough I think I have my first girly crush on Lily Allen but I don't think I'd want her as my best friend, I'd have to watch what I said all the time or she might ditch me and that'd be hard work ?

Kirstie Allsop, Nigella, Davina and Kate Moss. And maybe Cheryl Cole. Not that I'm greedy or anything.

I was going to say Sarah Jessica Parker but I think (like someone said about Jennifer Aniston), I'd be a bit disappointed that she wasn't Carrie.

Way back in the days when I had a 14.4k dialup (and it was considered "flash") I used to contribute to a message board type thingy on the subject of exotic cutlery.

I had a mate on it, a daily contributor who suddenly disappeared.

Some years later the rumour went about amongst those who used to be regulars there that the missing 'colleague' had been Angelina....

I'm mates with Terri Dwyer. She's a good spud but I wouldn't say we were best mates (or that she's that much of a celeb ?)

I'd quite like to be mates with Lauren Conrad from The Hills as that would mean I too was a young, fit, LA-ite. I'd also happily drink beers all weekend with Sara Cox.

I like Terri Dwyer but I'd imagine she's super competetive and good at everything which could be annoying ?

Sara Cox would definitely be a good drinking buddy.

Ooh yes, I like Sara Cox too. Good call, Chookles, but I still think Dwyer is a twat, sorry.

Is Terri nice? I also thought she was a little bit [whisper] smug. But then I couldn't stand her character (Ruth was it?) in 'oaks so maybe that's why...

I dooo like Sara Cox, she'd be good for nights out too.

I think Katy Perry could potentially be good fun but not sure if she's friend material really.

I think I'd have to say Holly Willoughby too. She comes across as a really lovely genuine person and I think she looks amazing.

Hmmm, my predictable choices would include Nigella, Beeney and Kirsty. I love people with a bit of expertise in their field, and I do love women who embrace things with gusto. They're all rather home-y women too, with children.

Otherwise I'd go for Sandy Toskvig, Sheila Handcock and Judi Dench. Plain speakers, funny and broadly eccentric. Lovely.

Oh sorry, one more - Beyonce. I really like her, not sure why.

Really - don't she comes across well as BF material ?!! I love watching her on TV and there is no doubt she's excellent at what she does but I think she comes across as a bit passive aggressive and patronising!

Sara cox (she is so just being herself on the radio. Years and years and years ago I used to be at the same modelling agency as her. She was always so lovely and such fun)

Davina - I'm sure we could spend hours whittering on about our 'old raving years'

My ultimate though is Nell McAndrew although I think my friendship would verge on me worshipping the ground she walked on ? She really is the dogs dangly bits in my eyes. Beautiful, intelligent, a great mother who parents how she wants instead of what people think she should be doing and an amazing runner!

Is Caitlin Moran slebbish enough? I'd have her, Sandi Toksvig, Kirstie Allsopp, Stephanie Flanders and Mariella Frostrup. I's also like to be friends with Liz Hurley but I don't think we could be best friends- I see her more as the cool sixth former everyone has a crush on, who smokes and snogs boys.

Ooooh Marianne Keyes is a celeb sort of isn't she? I think she'd be a hoot though maybe in more of a mum/crazy aunt way than BF
