You expect a discount to take this into account, if not a full refund, yes?
We hired a printer for an event, the printer was excellent but had a fault. This wasted paper, time and meant we couldn't print as we wanted. My view is therefore that we are due a discount. H is doubtful on this, he said to me 'well, you can see what they say but they may not offer anything'. I don't get this. They are in the business of hiring/selling expensive printers. We are in the business of hiring and maybe buying one, You'd expect a discount, right?
