if you were a horse.....

....and you made it to The Horse of the Year Show, would you be really naughty and buck between all the fences, yet jump every fence like a dream? Or would you be a good horse and make it really easy for your rider?

I think I would be a naughty horse?

I think I would leave the bucking to the end. You'd feel like a right plonker if your bucking brought a fence down. That would lead to some definite sniggering in the stables that night.

I had a horse that gave a really sharp buck when he'd done a clear round if he had an audience. I quickly learnt that I needed to make sure my seat was right as we crossed the line or I'd be doing a face plant...

Hmmmm, hadnt thought about knocking a fence down with over exuberance.

i used to ride a very naughty pony who would drop her shoulder at some point during a round, sending me to the floor in a big heap! when I got wise to it, she tried bucking, what a naughty pony, she always looked like she was laughing!!

I used to have a horse who used to rear, twist on the way down and go straight into a buck. I once won my age group at the NZ HOYS and he did it at the presentation.......I came within inches of face planting in what should have been my moment of glory. I once fell off him jumping a 80 cm cross bar while warming up for a 1.40m class.

He was evil but I loved him, luckily he kept the majority of his evilness for outside of the competition, I think I'd be the same.
