If you were on death row...

Spangler, 15 July, 2011 at 08:31 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 28

What would your last meal be?

Mine would be scallops & king prawns, then Mr S' belly of pork (Rick Stein recipe) with mash & veg. Dessert would be Oreo cheesecake. All washed down with lots of champagne.

Tell me yours!

    Pizza.

Actually the best thing to have would be undercooked chicken - they can't execute you if you're sick!

Rocket, avacado and parmesan salad with honey and mustard dressing to start.

Bollywood Bad Boy burger - lamb burger in a naan bread with onion bahjis and chips with curry sauce

    Chocolate cheesecake.

I would have toffee apple cider and coke to wash it down with.

Tricks - you can't have curry and diet coke. It has to be lager!

I would have a Mexican feast, with loads of cheese, sour cream and guacamole. Possibly nachos and chilli to start followed by some kind of burrito/chimichanga. Followed by a massive chocolate sundae with bits of cookies, fudgy bits - the works.

I would drink pink champagne, with a glass of Diet Coke on the side for when I get a bit thirsty.

Trickers - I am also addicted to Diet Coke. I am currently drinking my first can of the day (at 9.20am!)

Ah, this is Trickers2 replying, not the original. That explains the lack of alcohol at meals.

The Trickers I know wouldn't pass up on alcohol before she was about to be zapped.

    God this is difficult.

Think mine would be perfectly cooked calamari in a light batter to start, followed by medium-rare steak accompanied by black pudding salad. I couldn't possibly pick one dessert! Maybe a trio of creme brulee, tiramasu and cake.

I would have a very good bottle of red wine with dinner, then a gin and tonic to finish.

I've just drooled on my desk.

I think Trickers is gone forever. I have emailed Dean and asked if she will ever be back but I'm waiting for a response.

I would just have the alchol then and no last meal!

I would have fish chips and mushy peas with plenty of white bread and butter, followed by a massive banoffee pie! To drink some rose wine.

If there were no restrictions at all I would start with a few glasses of champagne, then a seafood starter, scallops, king prawns, calamari (good idea Spangles!). Followed by a rare fillet steak with all the trimmings and pepper sauce, with a bottle of good red wine. Then for dessert a proper baked New York cheesecake.

Then I'd be sick as I had been such a piglet and they wouldn't be able to finish me off while I was poorly!

Chicken liver pate with excessive amounts of redcurrant sauce and toast, followed by Chateaubriand which I would be sharing with my other half - it would come with peppercorn, bernaise, and mushroom sauce, as well as plenty of potatoes and veg. I would wash it all down with a bottle of Torres Vina Sol (for sentimental reasons) and would finish up with a warm sticky toffee pudding with real vanilla pod ice cream, and a baileys coffee.

I am dribbling onto my laptop!

Chicken curry & chips, crispy aromatic duck & plum sauce pancakes, seasame toast, seaweed, chillie shredded beef & a banana fritta from the Yummy House takeaway in Bath which I miss like crazy having moved! Then from the indian I used to go to in Cheltenham I would have chicken kashmir & peshwari naan. I would wash down with a pint or 3 of john smiths or boddingtons (I'm a bitter drinker!) but would also sip from a glass of pink champagne. I would finish off with a banana fritta & raspberry pavlova.

I would then probably be sick!

I like too many things to just choose one meal! Think I would therefore have a selection of:

    Calamari

    King prawns in garlic

Moules in garlic. white wine and cream

Pizza hut stuffed crust pineapple and caramelised onion pizza

Dominos garlic bread pizza (they should make these in a large size imo!), with vast quantities of garlic and herb dip.

Nachos with fresh salsa, sour cream, guacamole, jalapeno peppers and melted cheddar.

Steak fajitas with all the trimmings

    Tacos with all the trimmings

McDonalds McChicken sandwich - the mayo always tastes so good!

Prezzo fried mozzarella in breadcrumbs with fresh salsa dip

Crostini alla casalinga from my favourite Italian restaurant in Bolgheri, Tuscany.

I'm sure I've left out loads, but I would wash that down with some nice white wine, and for dessert I would have Pizza Express death by chocolate fudge cake, with lots of Italian ice cream.

    I feel famished!

ETA - I would also have some:

Chicken Korma, with a peshwari naan

One of those Wagamama chicken katsu curries

I'd also have loads of Chinese like duck pancakes, seaweed, sweet & sour, lemon chicken and crisy beef.
