Morning All,
I've been pretty absent lately mainly because I have had nothing to report but with only 4 months to go now (and I wish it would hurry up) I think the only real thing left to do is pay for it all! We finally gave notice yesterday which made it seem extremely real since we got a list of options for our vows and went through how the ceremony would go. Now that our date is 'set in stone', I can send the invitations out today. I suppose it may seem a little late sending out wedding invitations this close to the day but we did send STD's out so people do already know the date. The only issue we have with those is that it was the OH's great idea to send them to everyone; the day guests and evening guests. From talking to friends, it would appear that the people we are only inviting to the evening also think they are invited to the registry office and meal afterwards! All I can say is that they will be in for a slight shock when they receive their invite!
Hopefully my engagement ring will be back by next week. I sent it off about a month ago for the setting to be changed, again! The one I had before it was a bit too high and I kept catching it on things. When that arrives though our wedding rings should arrive with it! Finally, I changed my wedding dress, again. The one I had from Monsoon was not a very nice shape and a bit too big and after having a quote for the alterations, I was better off buying a new dress and selling the Monsoon one, which is what I did. My new dress is being made from scratch by a very talented lady who specialises in 1950's inspired dresses ... I can't wait. It should be ready in 2-3 weeks!!
