Last week I shellac'ed my own nails as they need the strength to grow. Ok thy haven't grown much yet! But they still look quite good 6 days later (for me, queen of knocking of normal nail varnish!):

Pandora - I had a friend who is a beautician and I bought her old UV lamp off her for a tenner when she got a shiny new one. Then we went to her wholesalers to get new bulbs which I think are still working ok! I also bought my base coat, colour and top coats off her (she just ordered extra for me).

Since then I have replaced with things sold on eBay. I know it's only supposed to be sold to trained professionals...

Also the finishing wipe to take the final residue off is just 99% isopropanol alcohol. This is also the exact same stuff computer people use to wipe clean the chip boards. So you can but a big bottle from a computer website for about £2.

Probably shouldn't be spreading news of the above on here. But it does save me £20 a time! I have just bought a bright watermelon colour which is my next challenge! The brighter the colour the better you need to be at creating edges

This is what I have done to my stairs wallpaper by spraying it with dettol!!!! Ruined it completley so need to redocorate!! My Oh will think I have done it on purpose!
