Awww, thanks everyone. I promise I will get round to doing photos. Unfortunately the only recent one someone took of me was with a bright sunshine to one side of me, which means my entire right hand side looks like a flash of white light ?

I'm not normally on WL - but I had to stop in here and say that's a ruddy massive change there BGB. You should rightly be proud of that achievement. I had to show MrHalo (he is quite despondent about his weight at the moment) and it's given him a bit of hope about what he could achieve.

    Well done. It's seriously impressive.

Brilliant Baron. Bloody brilliant. And not a sachet in sight! Losing 8 stone by no more than cutting portions and getting exercise is outstanding. Simple, effective, but oh so hard to do. Kudos to you ?

Sorrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyy ............... nine stone. NINE stone! Fark me! I hadn't read all the thread.

I know how you feel. On top of the world! Only difference is you'll keep yours off as you did it the right way. Now I'm fcuked as I can't lose at all.

How much on average did you lose per week? It seems like it dropped off you almost as fast as if you were doing a VLCD. I'm in awe of your motivation, perseverance and determination.

Can you bottle it and FedEx it over?!

<does quick sum in head> Just over 2.5lb per week if you take January 1st as the start date - the loss seems to have been pretty consistent. No single week where I've lost 6lb then gone to nothing for the next week.

I think what's helped my metabolism stay fairly high is the exercise and the strength training - I don't think I've lost too much muscle along the way, which can be a killer if you're on a low calorie diet (I think my daily intake on a weekday was probably around 1,800 and more on a weekend).
