I'm going to blub aren't I?

Iris, 23 July, 2008 at 08:38 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 3

Nursery graduation this afternoon. He's been there 4 years, he doesn't actually leave for another 5 weeks but the pre school teacher and the the kids that go for the funded sessions break up today. They are singing songs for us and having a little graduation ceremony. It's the end of an era really, he's known his friends for up to 4 years and they are all off to different schools. They are all so sweet and lovely (and so so funny) I'll miss seeing them all twice a day. A few of them are staying on for the summer due to working parents so he won't be lonely but today really is the start of them all growing up and going their own ways. ?

    Hello ?

I feel the same!! When William leaves nursery I will cry, then when he goes to school I will cry!!

It is the end of an era but the start of a new one and if Master Iris is anything like Master CW then he'll be more than ready to take on school!!

    Kate xx

P.S. The closing date for that job was yesterday so hopefully I might hear about an interview soon!!

I cried like a baby last week when i went to see christopher do his 'song squad' [choir] presentation..... i couldn't even congratulate the teacher cos i was so sniffly ?

cried like a loon again on monday when he got a teachers award in a special assembly.... think crying at stuff like that goes with being a parent ?

enjoy it - end of an era and all that but some fab memories for you [and don't forget your camera]

Hope you hear soon CW. He is more than ready for school, not sure if I am!

Glad I'm not the only loon who gets emotional about all this stuff. 30 four year olds singing "Ugly bug ball" is going to be so cute though.
