Our planning is going ok. We bought a house in July which needs a full renovation so this is taken up all our time so we only started planning the wedding three weeks ago. We got engaged in Paris in June an hour and a half before midnight and me turning 30, it was very romantic and i've been dying to start planning since then!

We are getting married on the SS Great Britian which we are both over the moon about, nothing else would have done really. We've hired a field from a farm for our reception and we'll have a marquee with pie and mash for food and carnival games for everyone to play with a bouncy castle. It should be a really fun day. The farm has cottages and a B+B so we are taking over the place for a week and we are going to stay there with our families before and after the wedding before heading off on our honeymoon.

Getting married on the SS Great Britain sounds brilliant! Your day sounds wonderful. I got married this year but most of my time was taken up with buying a house 3 months prior to the actual wedding, definitely kept me busy : )... Happy planning though!

We had a viewing booked for the SS but found our venue and cancelled. We wanted to go just to have a nose around but thought it would be a bit harsh! My OH works in Bristol and we live in Wiltshire x

I've not been on Hitched for months (years maybe!) but for some reason, popped onto here today and just wanted to say I got married on the SSGB in 2010! Fabulous choice! Our day was amazing, it's a beautiful venue!!
