I'm so stressed

onion1975, 17 March, 2011 at 21:17 Posted on Planning 0 5

And it's not even wedding related..I have an assignment for uni to do that I just do not understand, and as well as that a massive report to do for work, both of which are preventing me from doing any wedding preparations...time's ticking and I'm panicking about EVERYTHING..I know in the grand scheme of things, and in comparison to a lot of other people I'm probably just over reacting, but I really don't feel that I'm enjoying this wedding planning as there's always summat else needing doing..

I'm sorry for the rant, but if I don't blow off steam here. i'm sure I'll do it inappropriately elsewehere...lol..xxx

    Okay firstly - Breathe!!

Secondly - What is the assignment for?

Thirdly - I am in the same position as you - I have my dissertation and one last assignment to do before I get married...oh and then once ive done all that I have to re do my placement :/

How long do you have before the wedding? and when is the assignment due?

    What year you in?

    1st - have a cuppa and cake

2nd - go see uni tutor and ask for help to understand assignment (and/or and extension if needed). They are there to teach and help, they do not bite. If they do they are rubbish!!

3rd - do yourself a timetable for the assignment and work project and try to stick to it - if it helps you relax then you could alays look at weddingy stuff in some of the breaks

4th & 5th - breathe and relax (and more tea...)

Once things settle down you can get ack to wedding stufff with gusto

    Good luck x

I know what you mean, not silly at all, life just doesnt seem to stop for wedding planning unfortunately! I have some friends, no kids, both 9-5 jobs and they just seem blissfull about it all but with work, my nvq, my step son moving in halfway through the wedding planning, hen dos, birthdays, house work, there is no room for it and so it becomes a chore, rather than enjoyable. hence why i am spending my well earned day off work doing place names, boooooooring!

Awww, thanks all..I think I'd had a bad day yesterday and just needed an off-load...I'd already had an hour long wobble to/at/with the OH during the day so thought it best if I didn't have another last night...besides he was tres busy what with the oven breaking down right in the middle of him making tea, 2 of the kids were arguing about who wanted reign of the remote and the littly was demanding daddy made her a snack..i think he had it tougher than me..anyway, to cut a long story short, my stupid assignment (the politcal, economical and social factors affecting social work practice..GRRRRRR), is well under way with thanks to my lovely OH..it would have been easier if he'd have just written the damned thing as politics is his thing..lol

Katie, thanks for your message, I'm obsessing a bit now about getting down there and seeing it...I'm constantly checking the website for any updates etc..I know I know that is a bit OTT...lol..

Anyway, after spending the last 2 days solid in my bedroom surrounded by books and journals, I think I may venture out and take the riff raff for tea

Speak soon everyone and thanks again..xxx
