I'm so stupid

? Whilst defrozing the freezer with bowls of hot water (can you guess where this story is going?) I was just about to finish off when I accidentially knocked the bowl of boiling hot water off the shelf and over my legs and arms [:'(]

Cue a scream that even h2b heard outside in the garage. I was luckily still wearing my pj's so I managed to strip off quickly (in full view of the kitchen windows but I didn't bloody care) and h2b made me go into the shower with freezing cold water. It does seemed to have settled down heaps but is still stinging like hell and my skin is really dry but doesn't look like it will blister. He only stopped holding the shower over me when I sobbed like a baby whilst saying 'no more please'. I'm such a woss.

The next time I defrost the freezer I will get h2b to do it. I think I deserve an afternoon nap now!

Aw poor you. put a nice fragrance free body moisturiser all over if you have it or lots of E45 to keep it moisturised.

I used to hate this job and am now loving my frost free freezer.

Thanks girls. I'm covered in Sudocream now as it started to swell up but I'm surprised it isn't sorer. I've got E45 cream so will put that on tonight, thanks I wouldn't have thought of that.

It may seem like you should put cream or something on, but with a burn you shouldn't ever put anything on it at all. Do you know how long you managed to stay under the cold water, it's recommended at least 10 mins for the best effect so if you managed that then you've done the best you can.

If you do start to blister and it's an area bigger than a 20p piece then get yourself off to A&E. May sound dramatic but you need to be careful with burns.
