Indecision. How do you decide what you want?

Pink Han-bag, 5 January, 2013 at 17:55 Posted on Planning 0 5

I'm writing this post hoping it'll give me some clarity tbh as I just can't decide.

Have been to see a chair cover company today and the covers and sashes (royal blue) are now sorted but I can't decide what to do about the centrepieces.

a) Have the chair cover company do it which would be hurricane lamps on a mirror with tea lights and crystals. Could use the lamps also down the aisle but doesn't seem v impressive to me. Would still need a top table decoration.

b) hire silver candelabras from the florist, they're a fiver more expensive each and wouldn't have a mirror to stand on but not sure they'd need it? Buy my own crystals from ebay.

If (a) what do we do about top table decoration? Mr and Mrs sign with some flowers, or floral arrangement or something else?

Please help me, my head hurts!

What type of venue are you having?

Standing things on mirrors helps lift things reflects the light, creates more sparkle etc

What type of top table are you having long or round?

I personally like the hurricane lamps isle look but depends on the venue I guess....This pic is from one of the venues we looked at

I like to have as many things in one place as possible, if you go with the chair people do they set them up as well as the chair covers?

Do you need anything down the aisle? the funky ones picture looks lovely btw.

I think I would go with A as less work and cost required!

Also I think less is more on the top table as people want to see you and you new hubby! All the signs I have seen look lovely.

I'd personally go with the candelabras only because I don't see them as often!

As for the top table, ask your venue if they have glass vases so you can place all your bouquets in them down the table that you and your bridesmaids will be carrying. They are usually enough!

Kjay I absolutely agree with using as few suppliers as possible, less confusion then!

Option a would be all set up for me and they're coming back between the ceremony and wedding breakfast to move the chair covers so would also move the hurricane lamps and put them on the centrepieces.

This is a v poor picture but you can hopefully see the size of the room? The room is quite big but we're only having 6 tables plus top table which has made me think of having something impressive!

This is a decision we are facing too as the room we are having is quite large and we are having a similar number of tables to you so was thinking of perhaps having something with some height that makes a bit more impact. Smiley smile

    It's so difficult!

I think I'll sleep on it and see if inspiration strikes me in the morning Smiley smile
