Information Packs?

Loubs, 27 January, 2010 at 11:05 Posted on Planning 0 11

Hello all!

I'm a newbie, and we are getting married on 3rd September 2010! Yay!

It is second time around for us both, and last time when I was arranging my wedding, people were all making information packs to send out with their invites.

Isn't this the 'done' thing anymore? How do you let guests know all of those details without one?

I have lots of bumpf to let people know like hotel details, our password so that they get a discount on their rooms, if they are vegetarian, rsvp details etc etc.

What are YOU doing??

Yea i;m having a sheet with directions, hotel details and parking. but really trying to keep it short - don't want it to be a 'pack', more of a card. how are people squeezing all this into one sheet? or are you sending out more than one?

would it look tacky to have it printed on both sides of the card?

You could set up one of the free wedding websites, add all the info on there and then put the web address in the invitation?

Can't remember all the names... Wedding Path, Getting Married, Moment Ville....

    Hey Loubs,

    Congrats on the engagement!

I'm not sending out any info, as I've set up a website with directions/maps, local accommodation, taxi details, etc. We're lucky in that everyone we're inviting has regular internet access! It really saves on postage costs!

I spent a couple of weeks putting together an info sheet to send with the invtiatons then decided not to send them....lol

Instead we put all the info onto our website and sent a business card with the wedding date, venue and website address for our guests.

    Thankyou everyone!

Ive now decided to be brave and make my own invites, so Im hoping to either pop an extra sheet into the invite with the info on make an information card to go along with the invite.

This wedding has turned me into crafting woman!

As well as being a wedding planner, I also make wedding info booklets and orders of service. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/album.php?aid=136918&id=226120074671&ref=nf

Costs vary depending on the number of pages but they start from 60p each.
